My son just went up to his room to listen to "his" music (his exact words) "in peace and quiet and as loud as I want" on his new clock radio/CD player. And he shut (just about slammed) the door so he "wouldn't hear any noise from downstairs."

He's 5.

I hope he doesn't blow the speakers.:rotfl:

Can't wait for the teenage years. :dance3:

:rotfl2: I thought, what's the big deal? Sounds like a typical teenager...but he's 5???? Very cute. Sounds like something my oldest (who is also 5) might say. Kids say the darndest things ;)

My 9yo cousin got a cell phone for Christmas (that's another story, I don't know how a 9yo needs one, but anyway). It's a pre-paid phone and her allowance is going to be the pre-paid time on the phone.

Anyway, my aunt explained to her about using her minutes and how she only has so many per month, and they will not buy her another minute card if she uses all of her minutes in that month.

The next day, my aunt calls my cousin and asks her how her vacation day is going and my 9yo cousin replies, "MOM! I will talk to you when you get home, I can't waste my minutes on you!" :rotfl:

At least she listened?

You poor moms!

My 5 yr old did something similar the other day.." I am going to my room for private time.I need some quiet around here" .She marched up to her room and slammed the door and on went the radio.Nothing quite like Hakuna Matata at full volume.:)

LOL, DD is 18mos, and she's already got a flare for the dramatic. I can SO see her doing this!!

Thanks for the giggle :)

My 6 year old wants an iPod. he doesn't even listen to music! I would have no clue what to put on an iPod for a 6 year old if i was to get him one!
I asked him why he wants one so bad and he said oh i only want it to go with that Knex roller coaster toy. apparently there is some toy that goes with an iPod? my kid would be lucky to have one when he is 16 let alone 6!:lmao:

I almost think our children have been here before us sometimes with their wisdom.
Yesterday my dd 2.75 yrs was asking her father something and he wasn't listening. She said quietly to me "Daddy can't help it Mum, he's only a boy"!!!:rotfl2:

Don't you just love school vacations!!!! LOL

I did last week...now, not so much!

My son pretty much took over my husband's i-pod...my i-tunes playlists are hysterical - a little Green Day for me, a little Lauire Berkner for him...and a little Disney park music for all of us! The only thing is that he hates the ear-buds so I had to get him more kid-friendly headphones.

We doubt me dd5 and my neice(4) one for xmas.. My dd has HSM and a bunch of kids cd. She loves to use my and she was using up all my space..:lmao:

she loves to sit on her bed and sing....I just need to find a holder for it...

LOL Too cute!!!! This was my DD9 4 years ago......she's just as goofy now as she was then. LOL

Yeah...My DD6 wanted to call her cousin, so I dialed the number and handed her the phone. She looks at me and says, "um, can I have a little privacy here?"
:rotfl2:

Is it a shuffle? I was at Kmart one day - they have a holder for the shuffle that makes it more the size of a nano and they had all different colors. They were very cool.

OMG! I can so see my DS6 doing this. DS(6) also likes to strum the air guitar and listen to Iron Man at full volume. :cool2:
