I was pretty sure what I was getting anyways, because I told DH what I wanted. It's really not that exciting, just Kelly Clarkson's CD.

Get used to it

My dd is 10 and she still says "can I give them a hint" and she'll say the hint and all but tell them what it is.

Example: I bought you a phone.
Her Hint: It's ringing and you have to answer it!

This year I made the mistake of letting her see my ds's ornament from Hallmark (the record player one), her hint to him was "it plays records and it hangs on the tree".

UGGHHHH! We've gotten really creative on reasons why we don't tell her presents, just until she learns that she's not the greatest secret keeper

When my daughter was about 2 my DH told her what he got me for Xmas but told her it was a secret. Well she knew a secret was something that you whisper so right in front of my DH, she whispered what he had gotten me for Xmas. I just started laughing. To this day, 16 years later we laugh about that every Xmas.
