My sister has been engaged and they are thinking of a disney wedding. Where do we start looking for information from? Costs? and so on. My DH & I had a very informal wedding with immediate family only so I have no clue and she wants me to help her. Any info would be great.
The cost will depend greatly on what type of wedding she is looking for. If she wants a small, intimate ceremony (no more than 20 ppl, including the bride & groom) - she can have an "Escape" wedding which has packages starting from $2950. These weddings are only held Mon-Fri. and at certain times and locations. Also, the package doesn't include a "reception" - only cake and champage following the ceremony. (It seems many brides, myself included, plan to take their small group to a restaurant afterwards). You can add certain "enhancements" to the package for an additional charge.
If she wants to have more than 20 ppl, then it would be considered a "Wishes" wedding. There are "event minimums" which depend on the time of year, day of week, and time of day - these start out at $10,000 (not including taxes, sevices charges). This means that your wedding would need cost at least $10,000. The good news is, this can include your floral, location, food & beverage, entertainment, photography, videography, and transportation, so it's not hard to exceed these minimums.
