My review of WATER HORSE

This movie was so good! I had read mixed reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. Its a nice movie about a boy and his best friend. As we walked out all the people were talking about how good it was.

DH and I liked it, too! DS (almost 15) didn't like it but it was more of a story about friendship (as you perfectly described) and he was expecting something else.

Loved the ending scene!

My 5yo LOVED it. I thought it was decent. I read a review that described it as Free Willy with a sea monster instead of a whale... that about sums it up.

The book is very good and pretty different than the movie.

The main character in the book is a girl, which bugs me a little. I hate it when they change that sort of thing.

What's the book like? I put a hold on it at the library and I pick it up tomorrow (for an 8 year old advanced reader, but I dont like advanced subject matter for her...) Your review would be helpful. Anything inappropriate in the book?
