And the countdown has officially begun, 58 days and counting. I can't believe we are doing it again. Oh wait I guess I should give you a little info. I am mom, mother of 4, husband of one, I am what I guess you would call an obsessive planner, complete with spreadsheets, multiple itinerary, etc. Husband is Dan, thinks I am crazy in all my planning, but brags to others about how good I am at it, makes me feel pretty darn good. Then we have Mackenzie, 10, one time WDW visitor, Gavin 7 one time visitor, Eion 4, one time visitor although he swears he has never ever seen Mickey Mouse. Then we have Allison, 18mos, this will be her first trip.
The Plan- not to spill the beans! We succeeded in 2007, never told the kids, just got them up at 3am and left one day. Argued for 3hrs with Gavin who was then 5, he insisted we were NOT going to WDW, until we arrived at the airport, he then changed his attitude quite quickly. Our next suprise to take place December 10th-18th at POR. Only been to Pop 2 times in my life so a new place should be interesting. But with a family of 6 and limite budget, we were willing to try it.
FREE DINING!- this is great. We love the dining plan, and to not have to pay for it, oh I am so excited. We are food fanatics. We love to try new things, and to have less limits with this plan, oh the glory. We already have our ressies, tried to base them on what the kids enjoyed last time.
First night- Chef Mickey's a must!!! It's our kick off to the fun to come
2nd night- Teppan Edo in Epcot, never been but Dan has been pushing to try it, so I finally cracked.
3rd night- Donald's Breakfast at AK, it's another must for us, love it
4th night- back to Epcot for Princess Dinner at Akershus, another new one for us. I know the boys will be less than thrilled but had to do it for the other 2 princesses (not for mom, no really it's not)
5th night- Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic pkg I am getting a bit nervous about this one, we have been 2 times and loved it, but am seeing a lot of not so good reviews now,.
6th night- Tony's Town Square- trying something new after Liberty Tree no longer has characters, which makes me really sad. My kids specifically requested if we ever go back we have to go to that old time restaurant with the good food and Minnie in the nice dress. They will be dissapointed.
7th night- Crystal Palace dinner- again never been here, but so excited to have dinner with Pooh and friends.
8th night- finishing off the trip with Dinner at GF with the Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner
I can't wait to suprise the kids, can't wait to see their reaction, still working on a way to really throw it at them the day of the trip. Open to any suggestion.
Will definitely be following up with our adventures.
