My poor parents.

They took a vacation in their RV to (Downsville) New York (from Kentucky) to visit some friends and then were going to spend time driving up the coast and stopping at some towns that our ancestors lived in (Milford, Stonington, Barnstable, Scituate, Hingham...).

Just a couple of hours after leaving their friends, someone stopped quickly in front of them and my dad swerved to the side to avoid hitting him, only to hit a sign (the idiot guy jumped out of his car - which was not hit - and started screaming at my mom. Someone called the police because they thought there was a fight in progress and the guy was arrested for driving on a suspended license.) They had to leave their RV in that town for repairs and took their van and decided to finish the trip.

They were in Concord, NH last night when my dad got a headache and started feeling funny (numb arm, and numb-or something- ear). They went to the ER and my dad was admitted because they think he might have had a mild stroke.

They're keeping him until at least Monday so they can do tests (apparently the tech or doctor or someone was not there on the weekends).

I wish I could fly up there to be with them, but it's impossible and wouldn't really solve anything.

It's especially sad because they've been wanting to do this trip for so long. They had plans to visit a house built in 1740 by one of our ancestors and visit cemeteries, etc. We were all excited about it.

If you pray, could you say a prayer for my dad? I'm worried about him.
