has dislocated his tail from playing football too hard :guilty: My poor baby, Jebediah-1 year old, is crying and it breaks my heart!
Anyone else with a lab have this problem and if so how can we help him until it gets better?

Years ago our yellow lab sprained his tail swimming in the ocean. It's really sad to see a lab in pain wagging his tail. Took him to the vet who gave us a muscle relaxant for it. BIG MISTAKE - it relaxed ALL the muscles in that part of his body so he had to constantly go to the bathroom! You might want to take him in but do ask about the "side effects" of anything they give you ;)

Our dog sprained his tail by swinging it so hard on the coffee table. We brought him to the vet and he massaged it a bit and told us we'd have to wait it out. My dog has a high tolerance for pain though being part pit bull, so it didn't seem to bother him much. I feel bad for your doggie! At least yours was doing something fun, playing football!
