My parents got a PIN and didn't know it!

So on Saturday, I booked a trip for December for my family and my parents. We were kind of hoping free dining would get released later this summer but when I mentioned it to the CM, she said there would be no more free dining this year. Then, I asked her if there was a pin code attached to either my name or my parents (we're both in he system). She said no. So, I booked anyway and decided, after seeing how much money free dining would save us, to book for September instead. I was at my parents' this evening and my mom asked me to look at their confirmation email to see if the details were correct. I searched for emails from Disney and--there was an email from Disney Destinations with that coveted pin code. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I tried to explain it to my parents but I don't think they got how coveted or valuable it was. Oh well. I hear September crowds are really low anyway.

If you didn't book airfare already, you can just change your dates. I asked my hubby to call about a pin yesterday and he was literally on the phone about one minute? Didn't answer any questions. They asked him his name and said no??? I told him I think they are getting tired of checking and not doing it anymore. Usually they ask me address, phone number, email, when our last trip was. Sadly he had no idea what he was doing, so didn't know what he should have expected. CMs are telling people there will be no more FDing this year, but they have no more idea than we do what will be next.

Why can't you just change your dates? I would! Sept is way too hot for me.

We've never been in September and it's honestly just as good for us. I don't mind the heat. I just couldn't believe the CM told me there was no pin (this was after she had pulled up both of us up in the system) and that my parents didn't know they had one.
