I am staying at CBR in June with my 7 year old son. My parents are going to meet us there and spend one night with us. I plan on informing guest relations, but will this be an issue, or will it be a simple process and $15 a person extra for the night?
I've never been to WDW and I don't know how these things work.
Thanks!

Technically, I don't think they'd allow you to have five guests (over the age of 3) in the room even with paying the extra fee.

I think it will be fine. Most likely you'll just pay the extra $$$ and be on your way!

Ask at the Front Desk when you check in. They might need to let security know you will be having guests. They might wave the additional adult fee since it's just the one night.

We had this happen when we had a friend who lives in Orlando join us for one night at the YC. We went down to the front desk and informed them, also to get a key and charge for my girlfriend and she was watching 2 of my kids (they were younger at the time) while my husband and I went out for the evening. We told them to put the extra charge on the room, but the YC assistant desk manager decided not to charge me since it was only for one night. Maybe they leave it up to each resort to decide what to do,either way it was easy to add her for the day and they printed her out a new key with charging priveleges no problems!

I had something a little similar happen to me.

My daughter and I were at Coronado Springs. My Dad flew in to join us for a couple of our nights. I called the front desk and spoke to a Cast Member as I wanted to do the right thing. She asked me if he would need a room key and I told her no, that we already had two and that would be plenty. I asked her what the charge would be and she told me -- "no charge."

So sometimes you get lucky. I think it may just depend on the cast member. Would I do this way again? Yes. I'd rather be safe than sorry, but that's just me. :earsgirl:

I agree that you'll probably be fine. Hopefully they won't charge you!
