My package is on its way...

Unfortunately... I am not home to receive it! I did put a note on the door saying that the next door neighbor can receive my package and signed the note... you think they will do that?? I'd hate to wait until Thursday when I can be home...

It depends on both the carrier and the sender. The sender can note that no one but the intended recipient may sign for the package. I ordered some gift cards directly from Disney and wasn't home to sign for the package (UPS). Disney had specified that only I could sign for it. They left a note on the door instructing me what I needed to do to get my package. I had to go to the local UPS facility and pick it up. Under no circumstance would they allow me to sign off on it and have someone else pick it up!

This was the costco package... in the fall they let dh sign for it... but it was dh and our address... I am hoping that my note on the door will suffice and let my neighbor accept it! won't know until I get home at 7 I guess!

I really don't like how they do the package shipping.

I wish they would let the customer know WHEN they shipped it, and what the tracking number is.

In our case, they called one morning and left a message that they would be coming by in, oh gosh what was it..it was a matter of hours, like "the next 5 hours" or something like that. It happened to be hubby's day off so both of us were home, but we were just about to go out when we heard the message. We dithered and dallied and hung around, wondering what to do, and just as we decided to just go, b/c it would be hours, the UPS guy got there. A half hour after he left the message.

Worked out for us, but in many/most households it wouldn't have!

Hope they decide to leave it with your neighbor!

Well, I was told the package would arrive between 10 am and 7 pm... and it did!! And they let the neighbor sign for it! So we have our package!!!! Yay!!!!!

Ours came today too, so I totally share your excitment! I kind of expected it last week, since tht was our 21 day mark, but it doesnt really matter now that its here.
