So shortly after Ian and I got engaged we found out that his Aunt was able to marry us, whom lives in FL. So while we were on our site visit we took her out to dinner and asked her if she'd marry us. She said yes.

Now question is... we'd like to give her a gift. Our budget is about $300 for her. She loves WDW and her favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast... what to get her? :confused3

While I was in WDW I looked at statued, knick-knacks, snowglobes, etc. I just don't have any idea. I want to get her something that screams out thank you. When we asked her she made it sound like she's got to do some studying and stuff for this.

If I remember correctly the Beauty and the Beast Big Fig would be in you budget.

But that may be a little out there.

Yeah I saw that one. If I remember right it was like $175 or something. It's in consideration. I need more ideas though!

What about an experience?? Like a tour of something or the boats to watch wishes- that sounds like a lot of fun. Or tickets to Beauty and the Beast the musical next time it comes to your area. Or Cirque de Soliel.

at disney shopping's website they have a wedding snowglobe w/ mickey and minnie that you can personalize.

also, maybe do a gift basket with a few different things in it.

We also had a friend of ours perform our ceremony. Since we had already budgeted for an officiant, and because she did a LOT of research on same-sex ceremonies, and did three ceremony planning meetings with us, we decided that in addition to the bottle of our favorite wine (which we gave to her and to our planner and coordinator) we would give her a VISA gift card for $250 and put it into a personally written thank you note.

She was floored, because she hadn't expected anything. She was doing this as our friend, but I explained that she had gone so far above and beyond what any other officiant would have done for us, that we felt like we wanted to give her something above and beyond what she expected.

A further upside was that when we went to Florida Mall to buy the gift card, we were able to get the "Pink Ribbon" VISA gift card and part of the proceeds went to the Susan G. Koman foundation.
