My nice white cement patio is now

Covered with green mold.

I guess a month and a half of rain will do that, huh?

Anyone have any experience in cleaning mold off a patio? I'm thinking of doing a bleach wash (part bleach, part water) and then scrubbing it down.

I think the bleach was *should* do it. Our deck is showing signs of becoming greenish yellowish, and DH is going to clean and power wash it and hopefully get it sealed.

If you have, or can get your hands on, a power washer Blondie, power washing it with a stong bleach/water mix should do the trick.

You can rent those power washers, Blondie and that's probably the best way to clean that patio. Faster than scrubbing, too. I have no idea how expensive it is to rent one.

Just use a mixture of pool chlorine and water in a pump sprayer. Spray the entire area and leave it soak for a while. All you'll need to do is rinse with a garden hose. Repeat on stubborn areas.

We always do this to our patio and it looks great everytime, with minimal work on our part.

After a week in Vegas, we came back to my rain gauge showing me three and a half inches of rain!!!! I'm unpacking amongst the mold in this house!!!

You might want to invest in a pressure cleaner. I think they are under 200 dollars. We live in Florida, and my dh was forever bleaching, etc. A pressure cleaner is the way to go, and you can keep things looking nice, instead of them getting too out of hand.

What about OXyclean? You can get it at Walmart, and I think it would be just perfect for that!
