I love my DH, really I do, but he has a one humongous flaw--he is not into Disney! He'll go to DLR or WDW maybe once every two years when I want to go once every 2 months!

So I have made a vow, that if I am ever widowed, that I am going to try to find a companion who is as crazy about Disney as I am.

As for the current Mr. Anonymousegirl, I let him go on golf and ski vacations, and I make my Disney pilgrimages alone. It seems to work but if you look at my photopass pictures, you would think I was single!

My boyfriend of ten years does not like disney world lol like at all he's all about universal it drives me nuts I'm like who doesn't like disney world lol

I agree with that.. I could never marry anyone that didn't like Disney as much as me.. or at least deal with how often I wanted to go..

Solo trips are more fun anyway! Enjoy your trips and appreciate that no one is dragging you on rides you do not have any interest in or to character meet and greets if you do not want to go. If any one asks about your pics, DH is just a very skilled photographer!:rotfl:

Lol, I say the same thing.

Last trip 2 yrs ago I swore I wouldn't go with DH again.

But alas, I'm going next week with him. He only likes to go every few years, and only like the parks til around noon, doesn't care for fireworks and is indifferent to parades. He will be with me for the first 4 nights, then he is coming home and I am staying solo for the next 3 night:woohoo: so I can do all the stuff I will miss with him:blush:

I can't quite figure him out though. He watches Disney movies with me, wears Disney Tshirts in the parks, and has favorite rides in the parks, but then he'll complain that he can't believe we are going again.

DH grew up overseas in a family of boys. I don't think he saw a Disney movie until I took him to see Sleeping Beauty in the theater (pre DVD days).

It's not just DH's with that issue. My DW likes Disney for about 3 hours per day - makes me want to pull my hair out! We finally gave up 4 trips ago, and I go to Disney solo. She visits her family in Germany where she can sleep late and relax everyday:sad2:

Me, I'm at rope drop everyday day and stay till closing - I just let my little boy inside me loose. OK, the older boy gets loose too - I love drinking around the world at Epcot! :cool1:

My DH isn't as into Disney as me, but we're good with it. I just let him do his own thing when we're there together. He doesn't care if he doesn't get to do a ride - so if he wants to sleep in he just meets DD and me in the park later on .... Or he comes to the park for RD and heads back to the room at noon....
And once or twice a year I take DD without him.
And now, finally, I get to go all by myself!

I'd really like it if my future boyfriend/fiance/husband is a Disney Fan, but I'd settle for someone who will tolerate my Disney love. Until they come along though, I'll stick to taking my mum!

Dh and I have a system now. He will only stay at an Epcot resort. We hit TSM and RR and then we go to the pool for 3-5 hours. The Epcot and an awesome signature dinner... FF or Bluezoo

My first husband went on two trips with me to Disney World and was a total downer. The second one was our honeymoon and I kept wishing my family was there!

However, my second husband was very wary about going to Disney World, bad Disneyland experiences. He was all "this is mostly for kids." And then we went. He's now a convert. We're going again in less than a month, our second time this year!

I did have to promise that we'd take a couple of years off... but I'm sure that he'll be yearning to go again in another year!

By the time my parents when on their last trip, my sister's senior year, my dad was over Disney. I'm 28 and have been there 16+. He started going with my mom's family when they were dating back when WDW opened. They pretty much went every year until kids came along, and even then we went every year for a while! It's been 5 or 6 years since they've went and he's even admitted to wanting to go back. It really can suck you in!

My sister and I are currently panning a surprise trip for 2017, the year my mom is suppose to retire. We're going to take care of it all for them as a small thank you for all the lovely trips they took us on.
