Kelsea brought home this little one last weekend. After seeing the other thread here about the kitten, I realized I hadn't done that yet. Right now it is on my shoulder sleeping. It's name is Bigby, Kelsea named it after a wizard. I haven't taken it to a vet yet. I am pretty sure it's female.

I let her have it because it's her senior year and all her friends graduated last year. I didn't realize just how much I would enjoy having a kitten in the house again.
I expected my dogs to have a fit, but they are curious and sometimes even run away from her. :lmao:

aawww...she is adorable!! Very sweet!!

Hi, it's been awhile. How are you? Grandson looks healthy and happy. :)

Hooray! Someone with a pic!! Thank you! What a cute little kitty.
Our youngest cats are 5 years old and the kids are chomping at the bit for a new one, but we are at our limit.
Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you!! LOL!

The kitten is adorable! Just a note...My kitten used to sleep on my shoulder. His is now an 18 pound, 12 year old Maine Coon who still thinks he can sleep on my shoulder. I believe cats think it is their God given right to do whatever they please. That's why I love cats!

What a cute kitten~ OT but we are also picking up our very first kitten tonight and DD is torn between one that looks alot like yours and a calico. I think they are both female and 7 weeks old tomorrow. I haven't a clue how to take care of a kitten (although I've been online alot this week reading about it) so hopefully all my DIS kitten experts will help us out:)

You should get both of them. They will keep each other company and one won't be bored and get into mischief! We have 10. 8 of them we adopted in pairs. Our oldest is five and our youngest is 6 mos.

cuuuuute :goodvibes

As for sleeping on your shoulder.. I'm the person who is happy when my cat jumps on the bed at night and then contorts myself around him (no matter how very uncomfortable it is) so that he doesn't jump down.

Oh, then she'll just have two getting into mischief. :rotfl:

Just in case I don't get a picture of our new kitten posted, I'll just tell everyone to look at yours :rotfl:. Bigby looks like KC!

Awww...what a cute kitty! We also have a new kitty running around our house today.:) My daughter turned 19 a few days ago, and her boyfriend surprised her with a kitten. He checked with me and her dad first, to make sure it was okay. Thoughtful boyfriend.:thumbsup2

My daughter is living in off-campus housing this year (she's a college sophomore) and has been wanting a kitten to keep her company in her apartment. Her boyfriend drove 10 hours (one-way) to surprise her with the kitty. She was VERY surprised! She's visiting today with the kitty.

I hope you don't mind me posting her picture on this thread. Here she is:

It's been awhile since we've had a tiny kitten in the house. She is so sweet! What did your daughter name her kitten? DD19 named her kitty "Tigerlily".:)

ETA: Oops, I reread your first post and see her name! Cute name!

That was very nice of the boyfriend to ask first. And I don't mind of course. Tigerlily is a wonderful name, it fits perfectly.

Me too! But try it with 5 or 6 sleeping on you!

Awww, such a cute baby! Years ago, DW was begging for a black and white kitten. I secretly got said kitten and proposed by putting the ring on a ribbon around his neck. She was so overjoyed with the kitten that she missed the ring for almost a full 2 minutes but it worked out... after all, who can say no to a kitten? :thumbsup2

Another cat lover here that does the same thing.

I have one that will leave if I move too much, so when she is on the bed I try to lay very still trying to make her stay longer. :cat:

Thanks for the kitten pictures. They are all very cute.

If I could have that many, I probably would!!!

Congrats Serena! Looks like a keeper:) Does your kitten have a white under carriage?
