My New Cat

We adopted a cat today...she's so affectionate and lovable. She's been waiting to be adopted for a year, so I'm so glad we're able to give her a home. Especially around the holidays. Here's a pic, we've decided to name her Ava.

What a blessing! And take it from one who knows, the ones who are taken in after waiting so long are sooooo eternally grateful! I adopted a 2 year old that was abandoned and he thanks me everyday!! He's 6 now... and my miracle baby.

Thanks everyone! She is so sweet. We're trying to welcome her the best we can without neglecting the other cat too. My DF has been going back and forth to make them both comfortable. The other cat is having a hard time knowing there's a new feline in the house. But I have no regrets. I wish I had a bigger home, I would have taken more. Ava is going to sleep good tonight, and I feel really good knowing that she probably hasn't had a warm body to sleep next to in a very long time.
