Welcome to the 21st century. Did you get any firewall software yet? Or perhaps that router we were suggesting?

Anti-virus and anti-adware software is not enough when you are using a cable modem.

Try www.zonelabs.com or www.tinysoftware.com for firewall software. The one at tinysoftware used to be free for personal use, but I think that those days are long gone.
