My neighbor across the street has started a collection of lawn ornaments. This ailment has come on suddenly. Two months ago they had the occasional garden statue (minus the garden, lol) but that was about it. Then the sea monster was installed. He's bright green and yellow and in three peices so it appears he's both above and below ground. Soon a bear cub joined him in another part of the yard. Then they placed a howling wolf in still yet another area. Now there is a dolphin. Actually this is the best one yet because it appears they have combined the parts of two dolphins into one long and rather disjointed dolphin. I believe it should be one dolphin with his head and tail above ground and a second dophin with his back arched and his head and tail below ground. Now it may be an optical illusion but from my yard it appears both of these dophins are combined into one. I'm definitely a live and let live type of person so although this yard decoration is over the top in my opinion I don't really mind the neighbors' new obsession but it does make me laugh. Especially the dolphin, he's the best, lol.

Pictures!! Please!

Ok thank you for giving me a good late night giggle...

the visions of sea monsters are dancing thru my head... LOL

Was thinking the same thing.. ::yes::

When you were talking about lawn ornaments it took me back a few years when we went to visit my sister out in Palm Springs.
She took us for a drive and when I saw the house I just about died laughing....I wish I had a camera that day....the one thing I do remember is a pole hanging from a tree that had 6 poles sticking out from it...and then on those poles were bowling balls with wigs on them!!!!!!!!! I'll never forget the hair blowing in the breeze while they twirled around and around...

The yard also had pink flamingos and a whole ton of other stuff!

It sounds like you maybe having pink famingos next! lol

If you could post pics I'd love to see it! I need a good laugh!

It sounds just beautiful! :scared: I'm a live and let live kinda person too, but I'm glad my neighborhood doesn't allow that kind of stuff! LOL!

Your neighbor needs to really pick a theme and stick with it!

I suppose I can see the sea monster and the dolphin, although, I'd think the dolphin would be kind of concerned about the sea monster... The bear and the wolf don't even go with the aquatic creatures fantasical and real decor though...

I think you should call her up and ask her if she is trying to go with Under the Sea or Wildlife of the Pacific Northwest. Tell her it's distracting and confusing to schoolchildren who walk by her house who are learning about animals in science class.

:teeth:

Then post some pictures.

I have one of those neighbors also. He has a dolphin mailbox that stands about 5 feet tall. He has two swimming dolphins on each side of his driveway. He has a dog that sits by his front door. Than in the front of this house he has a garden of small animals sitting there. (must be 10 or so). On his side yard (he lives on a corner so he has alot of viewable area) he has two Major Bald Eagles. He has a goddess of some sort in his back yard along with a ton of other things. Way out of control.
