My Mother In Law Has Done It Again!!!grrrrrrr

Unfortunately, this has been going on for most of his life. I have two kids, a 21 yo daughter and my son. She has never been fair with them...my daughter always got nicer, more expensive gifts. They have 11 grandchildren all together. They can well afford gifts for each. You should see the things my nephews get!!! It makes me sick being there at christmas and their birthday parties. I could write a book about my in-laws. My last few birthdays...didn't even get a card. We just had our 24th anniversary, last month...not even a card! The worst part about all this is...my husband has the nerve to ask me, when it's their anniversary or birthday, if I got them anything!! HELLO!!! I tell him I got them the same thing they got me! A message to all you grandparents out there....please be fair with your grandchildren. The older they get, then know what's going, on and it hurts.

My MIL is an interesting person to say the least.

She only calls when she needs something. When dh's family is in crisis (i.e. one of his siblings is in the hospital, money is tight) her favorite line is that we need to pull together as a family. But when the crisis is over we don't hear from her until the next crisis.

She has NEVER babysat our kids. Dh says it's because "she doesn't like children." Then why the h*** did you have any to begin with?

When we asked her to borrow the videotape of our wedding so that we could show our children (long story but dh and I never got a copy) she stated that she didn't trust us with it--because she thought that we would accidentally tape over it. DUH that's why you break the tab!!!

She lives approximately five minutes away from her daughter and grandchildren (dh's sister) and she has never set foot inside her home. She doesn't have too much to do with them either.

For two years straight, my FIL gave my MIL money to buy my kids Christmas presents--she never did.

Oops gotta go dh just came home. LOL

it's not always the MIL (mine happens to be mostly wonderful)
My DH's grandmother is way cheap
She left his birthday present on our door step one year
in a brown bag (used) with a note happy birthday & gave him
3 (2 dollar) bills that her friend had given her (she had told us this only days before.
Actually I think that was the last birthday present she gave him
she doesn't even bother to give us anything for birthdays or christmas anymore
we barely speak to her (nothing to do with the presents)
oh did I mention she's worth 7 figures??

You just can't do anything with some people
