I don't think that's too much to ask.

When I lost my Mom I felt like my Worldr had stopped turning, but it seemed like everyone else's kept moving. It was surreal. My husband warned me that it was going to take time for me to let her go, and he was right. Willie, don't push yourself, just take it one day at a time. Your Mom will find a way to let you know she is alright. My Mom did, and that made it easier. .

Even though she couldn't express at the end I know she really appreciated it immensely. Knowing that you honored her wishes doesn't make her death any easier. No harm in taking a break and seeing where the wind blows you once you take care of immediate business. Sometimes stepping away for a bit helps us to recalibrate. Remember to be patient with yourself and leave space to grieve -- without letting it rule you. It takes time. Hope you find lots of smiles and a peaceful heart.
