Where have I been? Totally missed reading your TR at HS. Just read it though. Sounds like a great day.

Can you explain the umbrella and rain? I don't remember hearing of that before.

Looking forward to reading about your last day, but I always hate the thoughts of last days.:sad2:

Love the new pictures. We didn't even get to HS this year. We were so pushed for time due to ddp and having to keep going to the kennel to walk Niko. It isn't our favorite park but, I still hate that we missed it. Next year I will plan totally different :teacher:. No ddp first and foremost.

Can't wait for your next post:surfweb:

Back in the area where Lights. Motor, Action! & The Backlot Studio Tour there is an umbrella on one of the corner streets. When you stand under it, you can make it rain. I have always in the past tried pulling on the handle & naturally this never worked & always made me think they had replaced it. This time I noticed their is a vent(not sure what else to call it)on the ground. Stand on this & viola!, the rain will come down.

Makes for a great picture opportunity & I plan on getting one with my boys in Aug. :thumbsup2 Let me know if you find it!

In all honesty I could have just spent all my time at MK & Epcot, these are my 2 favorite parks. I went to HS with intentions of watching the new Block Bash Party, but that didn't happen beings I left early ;) Hopefully in Aug. we can stand the heat for an afternoon to see this. I also never made it to AK. It was in my plans, but just did not happen this trip.

I was suppose to be off from work today, but I am now going in for a few hours & my oldest ds has 8th grade recognition tonight. Sorry for the delay, I promise I will post more as soon as I can(& before I forget details :rotfl: ).

Sorry you had to go in, but I will still be patiently waiting for the next update.

I loved your entire TR, Janet! Can't wait for the rest.

I am with you about going to WDW just for MK and Epcot. They are my favorite parks too, although AK is enjoyable and I find myself spending more time there lately. Except for the Osborne Lights at Christmas and an occasional trek in for Fantasmic! I never venture into HS anymore. Just not my cup of tea!

And, thanks for sharing your solo time with us.

Great report so far. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of it. I'm leaving in 6 days for my solo trip and love seeing how everyone else does Disney solo!

It is kinda depressing posting final days because that signals the trip is truly over :( . With gas prices and everything going up like it is I worry about yearly Disney trips :worried: I am planning next May's trip now but, if gas keeps going up at the rate it is now it will be $7.00 a gallon by then :scared1:

It is a scarey thought :faint:

Day 4, final park day

I woke up around 6am, showered & headed to the foodcourt. I had extra cs credits left & decided to have an early breakfast. I arrived at the foodcourt shortly after 7am & thankfully it was not busy yet. I ordered the French toast platter that comes with sausage & bacon. This was very good!

I headed back to my room to meet my friend so we could go to Epcot for park opening. We met up & headed to the bus stop. Our wait was not long & we arrived around 8:30am. Once we were let into the park we headed over towards the land to wait for the rope drop. We were planning on going right to soaring after rope drop, but decided to ride Nemo 1st beings no one was going that way. We were able to walk right on & were out in no time at all. We walked around & took a few pictures before heading over to Soaring.

The wait time for Soaring said 20 minutes, so we thought we would just stand in line. The line seemed to be longer than the wait posted so we decided to get fast passes. We then headed over to Test Track, the wait said 20 minutes as well but we were able to walk right on. I really enjoy this ride, but that last curve always makes me scream :rotfl: After this ride we decided we would not have time to ride soaring & walk over to the Beach Club for our late breakfast reservations, so we took our time walking around taking more pictures. It was really nice not having a lot of people around.

On our way over to the World Showcase we saw a camera crew setting up & I had to be nosey & see what was going on. They said they were getting ready to shoot a commercial, I was hoping to see someone famous but that didn’t happen ;) We took a few more pictures & then headed to the International Gateway. We noticed a lot of people wearing the YOAMD’s lanyards & it just so happens they handed them out after the got off the boat, we missed out! We were planning on riding the boat to BC but decided to walk down by the water. I never knew this little path was here & thought it was very nice.

We arrived at the BC & checked in at Cape May for our Character breakfast. We were seated within minutes & beings we had late seatings it was not to busy. I think this is my favorite place for breakfast. It seems more laid back & not as rushed as some of the others. We filled our plates & waited for the characters.

My meal was good as usual, except my friend had something floating in her ice tea  & Dale never made his way to our table. Oh well, maybe next time! We headed for the bus stop & met Art The Greeter. This man is so nice & just brings a smile to your face :goodvibes We lucked out on the bus to DTD, it arrived shortly after we got to the bus stop. My friend was going to do some shopping & I wanted to check out POFQ for a possible future stay. After arriving at DTD we split up & I headed over to the boat dock area. What a beautiful & relaxing ride! I had never done this before & was glad I had taken the time to do it. The check in area at POFQ was thankfully not busy & I asked if there was any way I could see a room. The cm’s were very pleasant & I was on my way to see a room in no time. I think the grounds here are lovely & I loved the room I was able to see. I do not think my boys would like it here too much though, but I do see this resort as a place for myself & dh to go to alone. The rooms have a very romantic feel, maybe someday I can talk dh into a trip with just the two of us, but I do not see that happening for quiet some time :(
