My Mommy's Gonna Write a Trippie Report all about Me & Mickey Mouse! (Pictures & all)

I just read through all 26 pages of this trip report. What a wonderful report and trip! Your DD is beautiful and the story about the French boy she made friends with was adorable. I think it's interesting to see how she reacts to the face characters and the atmosphere ones. I was the complete opposite as a child. I was terrified of those with their faces covered, lol.

Looking forward to more details of your trip. :)

Hi Everyone...sorry I seem to have disappeared again. Things have been crazy hectic around here. One of my best friends has been really sick, she has cancer and isn't doing very well. Needless to say, I haven't had much time to be on the DIS. My in-laws are in town for 10 days now but I will try hard to get the next part posted, with pictures very soon. Hope you are all doing well and planning lots of WDW trips!!!

:goodvibes Hi rockstargeisha - aww thank you so much for reading my TR and for all your kind words. I'm glad you liked the story about the little guy and my daughter. It was very, very cute. Hahaha...yeah she LOVED the characters!!! I was so happy about that because I wanted to capture those pictures sooo bad!!! Hahahaha :rotfl2: I hope to post the next part soon!!

I found your TR for the first time this morning. I am loving it!!! I have a 2.5 year old as well and he "read" it with me. He kept pointing out what your daughter was doing and asking f he could "see Mickey too". The pics are amazing! What kind of camera are you using?

EPCOT CONTINUED - Soarin' and the World Showcase.

Just as DD was playing along with Chip & Dale, DH came back with our fast passes for Soarin’. Seeing that we had awhile before we could “Soar over California”, we headed on over to the Nemo ride. This one was very cute and our little one just loved it. She laughed when I told her we were sitting in a “clam-obile”, not that she really knew what that was, but it must have just sounded humorous to her. After existing, we jumped in what we figured was a short line For Turtle Talk. Little did we know that our first meeting with Crush would not come very quickly. We really hadn’t heard much about this talking’ turtle before we arrived but we were glad we waited for our turn. After being led in and seeing all the other little boys and girls sitting up front, our young one wanted to go too. (I can still remember how she pulled on my hand and said, “Mom” and I told her it was okay, I would be right there watching her). She then walked right up to the front row and sat down next to a couple of boys. When Crush appeared she was mesmerized. Even though he didn’t speak to her directly she paid close attention, and every once in awhile I would see her peek back toward me. Of course I noticed this because I was watching her rather than Crush. Surely I am not the only mom who enjoys her child’s reactions to these shows more than the show itself??? (Smile) LOL. Seeing Disney through the eyes of our children…now THAT is what it is all about!!!

She loved climbing along any and all rails located within WDW.

Anyway, after Crush it was time to soar!! For some reason I was really excited about this up-and-coming experience. I know it wasn’t because I love to fly because I really don’t. In fact, I hate heights yet things like ski lifts don’t really bother me. To this day I can’t really figure that one out. I must just be a complicated person…haha. Oh well, as we made our way up to Soarin’, I suddenly remembered what I had read on the DIS about “baby swaps”. I had to give that a whirl and see what would happen. We walked up to the CM at the entrance of the standby line and I asked him how we go about doing a baby swap. He immediately handed me a FASTPASS ticket. Now we had three of them! My dh went first as the little one and I hung back and people watched. As I saw him walk down the ramp afterward, he had a huge smile on his face and he told me that was his favorite ride so far. Wow, I wanted to go on it now, right now!! He took our dd and I headed up the fastpass line. I couldn’t believe how long the stand-by line was, boy was I glad we knew all about fast passes!!! I was hoping to get the front row but since I was riding single I ended up in the third row but at the very end of it. I stored my Crocs in the basket underneath and was ready to fly. Let me tell you this…..I absolutely LOVED Soarin’. What an amazing feeling; what an experience.. I do have one complaint though and that was, it was over too quickly! I wanted to do it again and told my dh that as soon as I saw him at the exit. Being the kind person that he is, he told me that I could use the third fast pass ticket and that he would take our little one outside to walk around. Yeah! I kissed them both goodbye and ran back up the ramp…okay, maybe I didn’t really run but I should have. I got some strange looks from people I had just passed by on my first flight through. They were still waiting in the stand-by line. I don’t understand why anyone would not want to get a FP when the stand-by line was that long! If you have not experienced Soarin’ you must!!! It is quite a trip!

After that second flight, I walked outside to meet up with my two loves. I found them down by the water, watching the ducks. With our tummies grumbling we decided it was time to head on over to the World Showcase and grab a bite to eat. I ended up at a counter service located in Mexico while DH traveled a bit further to Germany. The little one and I snagged a table back by the lake and once DH returned we all enjoyed a peaceful lunch. The view across the lake was so pretty. It had been such a beautiful day so far yet we could see some rain clouds approaching. We managed to explore for a little while before the raindrops exploded from the sky. No worries though because this storm did not last very long.

While shopping, our little one found a new hat. I love the way she is putting this on.

We did the ride in Mexico and rode on Maelstrom.. Once we finished with that, our little one wanted back in her stroller and no sooner had she laid her head back her eyes closed and she was out like a light. Perfect timing! My husband and I enjoyed our leisurely walk around the Showcase, stopping in all the quaint little shops and taking in all there was to see. We had heard about the wonderful candy maker and just so happened upon the start of her show. What an amazing talent she has! We watched in awe as she amazingly created a penguin, a horse and a shark. The kids she had choose were thrilled when she handed over the candy on little sticks. I was a little sad that my sweet one slept right through it though I knew it was better that she get some rest for she had a big night ahead of her. She was to meet Prince Charming for dinner!

Icees…. I love Icees and as we were walking back around we spotted the Coke Icee spot and just had to get a couple. Refreshing they were! Yesireee, I just love um! As we sipped on our cool drinks we decided to do a little shopping. I had this brilliant idea of getting matching t-shirts for the three of us for another picture with the characters. Since the characters in Epcot were in their “Year of a Million Dreams” blue I thought matching blue shirts would be perfect. After getting DH to agree we made our purchase and started heading back over to the character connection area. Our little one wasn’t quite awake yet so we found a bench and sat down. It wasn’t long before she awoke and wanted to be held. She sat on my lap and cuddled up for a bit. When I asked her if she wanted to go back and see Pluto she jumped up and said, “lets go”. Aw, we were having so much fun with our little one at the “Happiest Place on Earth”. We felt so happy and lucky to be on this first ever family vacation!
