I am so sorry for this terrible loss. I know it has been so hard on you these past years taking care of your mom. Alzheimer's is such an ugly and horrilbe disease as it takes your loved one long before they ever leave this earth. My grandfather died of Alzheimer's, and DH's grandmother has it now and is in decline. I do understand a small bit of the pain you are in now. Mom passed away about 9:35pm tonight. Joe was sitting here at the computer ,I was on the patio on the phone with my nephew....he came out and said I don't think I hear her breathing...I went in put my head to her chest and her little heart wasn't beating anymore. She's in heaven now ,at peace and rid of this horrid disease.

I am so very sorry for your loss. My mom passed away almost a year ago and it was similer. I was dozing on the chair next to her when my dh woke me up and said he thought she was gone. I miss her so much but she is in a better place and no more pain. You and your family will be in my prayers for a long time.
