my mom is going nuts now...

my mom read a review on POFQ...and now she is going nuts!! She's wanted to stay there for...ever and last time we went they were renovating it. Has anybody been there since the renovated it? She doesnt know what to do..she was thinking about switching to somewhere else but she doesnt know! How are the rooms there (size, free space, # of beds, cleanliness,stuff like that) Hopeful by they end of all this i will be here>

Tell your Mom to relax and have a good trip. We went last November. This is a very peaceful resort. The rooms are beautiful. There are dorm type fridges in the rooms, a privacy curtain separating the sink area from the main room. The beds are comfy and there was plenty of room for us to live out of our suitcases. There are pictures of the rooms on Deb Wills site and probably here too so take a look. Our room was clean and we never had any issues with the mouskeepers. In fact, one night we stopped and talked for a while with one and she answered some questions we had, offered more towels etc.

After reading a few not so good reviews, my mom is questioning her choice of POFQ for her birthday trip in Feb. '06...

I think that it meets most of our needs--I like the idea of it being small and quiet. I was really interested in CSR, but I haven't been able to convince my mom! We will probably end up booking POFQ soon--afterall, it is HER birthday trip--so she will get the finally say!

I still would like to be able to swing BWI!

I really liked POFQ. Love the boat ride to DTD. It is very quiet and peaceful. The only thing I didn't like was having to share a bus with PO - but at least POFQ is the first stop!

I was at POFQ in May, and loved it! The resort is small, so you do not have to worry about hinkiing to the pool or food court. I like POR too, but as I have no sense of direction I tend to get lost there. And when I stayed at CSR I felt far away from the rest of the World. Tell your mom to relax, POFQ is a beautiful resort!

Stayed at POFQ twice and absolutely LOVE it!!! This past trip we shared a room with my sister and her fiance and found the rooms to be a good size, even for four adults. Midway though our trip we switched to Saratoga Springs and while DH and really liked it, my sister and her fiance hated it and wished we had stayed at POFQ. They loved the compact size of the resort, the surroundings, the food court and the pool. They also loved the rooms. I say take reviews with a grain of salt. They are very helpful and I really enjoy reading them and am grateful when someone points out something that went really wrong, but remember, we all have different likes/dislikes and level of tolerance for certain things so what bothers/annoys one person, another may not even notice. HTH and have a great trip!!!
