I lost my Mom to lung cancer almost exactly 2 years ago. I know how you feel.

My father is a Hodgkins (sp?) survivor. One of the few at the time. Cancer hit him hard and he was pretty sick on chemo and radiation but he has been in remission for 20 years now.

You can always ask the doctors to hold off on chemo while you are on vacation with your mom. My dad was able to do this so he could get married and go on a honeymoom. If it is possible the doctors might be willing to hold off for a month so she can have a good time.

I am so sorry, I have been there with both my Mom and Dad and know the scare, heartache and pain. It is wonderful you can go home to be with your Mom in her time of need for support to temporarily help out. Thankfully, I'm blessed my Mom is a 12 yr BC survivor.
