Would this work? Right now we have purchased with our plan 6 day base magic your way tix for each of us. We decided against hoppers. The only day I would care about going to 2 different parks is our last day there. Could we purchase an extra day ticket for all of us (and make it 7 base tix per person), and use one ticket for magic kingdom that morning, and then another day's ticket for Epcot that evening? Can you use 2 different tickets in one day?

unfortunately you cannot. Once you use your ticket for a park that is the only park you can use it for entrance to for that day. It doesn't matter how many days you have left on your ticket. Otherwise no one would ever buy the hopper.

wouldn't the $50 for the full week parkhopper option be cheaper than the $70 single use ticket? And provide more flexibility at that?

Basically if you plan on hopping once during your stay.. it's probably worth it to just pay it at the beginning of the trip.

true, but a separate ticket is more expensive than adding the park hopper option

If you are using you KTTW (keys to the world) then of course they know and you wont be able to get into the 2nd park. We are doing 10 day hoppers, and if i drop the hopper, the price went down $180.00 total and that is for 3 of us. So they are not that expensive. Ours break down to $6 per day per person.

As other have said the theme park tickets are based on number of days not number of visits. So if you try and enter two theme parks on the same day the turnstyle will reject the ticket at the second park. If you want to park hop you need the hopper option. You can of course leave and return to the same park during the day.

The plus options, however, can be used on the same day as a major park entrance.

True;

but you could add the pak hopper option to every day of your ticket for $50.00

vs purchasing another one day ticket for $79.98 ??

So the PH is obviously a better deal even for one day of hopping.

You can also add the hopper option to your basic ticket at any time during the trip for the same price if you decide you want to hop on a given day.
