My memorial Day is sucking

ok this sucks i have the day off since i work for the U.S embassy... but everybody else is working here my friends.. m DBF so im here at home Disinng wait till they they get out of work

I Wanna be BBQing Swimming

Mine is not much different. DH had to leave this am, planning to be on the road for awhile. And its raining so no swimming and probably no bbq!! Maybe I will at least use some leftover chicken and make bbq chicken sandwiches and use some fresh squash from the garden to fry and cut a watermelon. (watermelon always says "summer" around here)

DH has to stand duty today on the ship, so it's the kids and I. I think we might go to the beach...

Looks like storms rollin in. But the parade in our town had nice weather in the morning.

i am just working outside on our pool. and having a captain and diet or three, and relaxing. will grill a little later. life is good

DH is in Kuwait - so it is just me and DS.

DS actually had school today to make up for a day they had off for the bad fire we had here. They put on a program honoring the firefighters that helped with the fires, it came very close to our school.

They also honored all the military, my DS and 2 other kids have parents that are deployed. The kids brought pictures of their parents and held them up as they were honored.

It was a very moving program -

hope you guys are have a great time! DBF called me at lunch and he said he'll be out of work by 5 and i told him bout this and he said well ill take you to dinner so you wont feel like you didnt do anything on memorial day
