I've been having so much fun reading other people's trip and pre-trip reports that I have to join in--it just looks like so much fun and I am so excited:yay: !!

Important People in this trippie: (but I am the only one going to WDW):

Me: 35 yo, divorced. Slightly pooh-sized, really warped sense of humor. I Love almost everything about disney--from roller coasters to live shows and back again. Can't wait to try Everest, couldn't do that on my last trip in September...(more in a bit.) I also like to read and knit. In fact, I plan on having some knitting with me, so if you see somebody knitting a sock between March 19th and 22nd, while waiting in lines, feel free to say hi. (I know, it's weird--but I like to keep my hands busy so my mind can wander--I knit at the movies too!) Oh, and I genuinely enjoy talking to interesting people (strangers)--must come from all the years I worked retail.

DS 4: wild and wacky kid. I love him to bits--he is a really great kid. I've been divorced from his daddy (my NSDXH) since he was 1. He's smart, strong for being such a little guy (he's really little for his age), and loves life. (And I'm completely unbiased:rolleyes1 .) He loves Disney too, and for the past week has been telling me all of the rides I have to go on. ("Mommy, you have to ride Expedition Everest...and Tower of Terror...and Rock n Roller Coaster....")

My Dog: almost 10 years old, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel...Sweet guy, has a little arthritis. Has never been kenneled in his life, but will be for the first time because I can't get anybody in my family to take him. He had a trial run the other day (spent the day in "doggie day care" at the place where he'll stay)--came out the door at the end of the day very happy and peppy--got home and fell asleep right away. It's very hard for me to leave him, because he's been such a comfort to me over the years.

Background:

DS and I went to WDW in September and had a great time. Because he was only 38 inches, we couldn't ride a lot of rides...much to his consternation! We still had a great time anyway. Once we rode Barnstormer 5 times in a row, just because we could. The cast members were totally laughing at us by the last ride--but in a nice way. Other big hits were Buzz Lightyear, and KRR at the AK. We also saw all the nightly fireworks shows and parades.

In December, a trip my NSDXH had planned for him to take DS to visit his parents fell through....With his work schedule, he couldn't get it on again until the middle of March, which seemed very far away to my then 3 yo DS.

As the next couple of months passed, I got to thinking about how I wanted to take a few days to get away while DS was gone...and where else would I go, but WDW....I didn't book for a long time, because I couldn't make up my mind and also because I was worried about what my family would think. Finally I decided that I reallllyyyy needed a vacation, and booked it right after one of the worst snow storms I've seen in MN in a very long time. Woo-hoo!!! I'm going to WDW!!!!!!!!!!

Travel Dates and Such:

March 18-22, Pop Century....I have never used a travel agent before but decided to do it this time since it was last minute. I'm really glad I did--she booked me on an airline a way that I wouldn't have thought of on my own, mostly to fit in where there was an open flight: I fly out on Sunday March 18 in the afternoon, arriving after 8 in Orlando. I fly home on Thursday March 22nd, on the last flight out of Orlando (on my airline)--so I'll have a full day in the parks that day. I'm staying at POP (where we stayed in September). No preferred room this time (don't think I need it), but I did request a 60s water view room. (I think that's non-preferred---I looked at a map online before I asked for it.)

I have joined Tour Guide Mike and another online service, figuring I need all the help I can get to get through the parks at this busy time of the year. I have printed off a whole lot of info, so now I just have to decide which parks to go to on which days. The only "real" meal I am doing is Boma on the 19th--I have an ADR for dinner--so that means I'll probably do AK that day. I probably won't make any firm decisions until I leave--I plan to spend most of the flight down reading the reams of info that I've printed and have yet to get through because I'm so busy getting my DS ready for his own trip.

That's all I can think of for now. I'm starting to get excited...can't wait until Sunday!!

Hope you had a great time at WDW! Are you going to do a trip report to let us all know how you got on? I'd love to hear all about it:yay:

Hope your trip went well. Looking forward to reading your trip report:thumbsup2
