I love the fact that my wife thinks that she is video taping all those wild clips that were all over the place. I know that I can't take a picture worth a darn! (now video taping is added to that list) While she was putting those in she didn't really watch it, and I am suprised no one else caught it, but she is in most all those clips!! Guess I got off till now! They were all done by me! SHHHH!!

Also, I love the fact that my wife discusses my bladder issues to you all, but she has a bladder that lasts for 4 days, so I am actually normal. I just need to travel with Morgan and Shawna with Jake. Morgan and I are the only normal ones in this family. Shawna and Jake are the screwed up ones. Shawna turns into the Pee Nazi at DL and on cross country vacations.

From time to time I will post to keep her stories straight.

Oh my gosh, the hyena nightmare has finally come TRUE! One of our DHs has joined the DIS and will find out everything we've ever said about him (and his peenut-sized bladder)!

Just to get in good with Jeff, I'll admit that I'm the peenut person of my family, and DH has the camel-bladder. I don't know how he does it with all the coffee he drinks, but he does have a problem drinking enough water, so my theory is that his body is parched as a desert and hangs onto any drop of fluid it gets.

And I'll put in a good plug for Shawna, she did admit that she's a pee nazi at times. And she did try to cover for you on the whole videotaping thing. She gets big points for that, in my book.

Yes, that would be me. She displayed quite impressive stalking skills, I thought! I'd been so bummed that I hadn't bumped into her after keeping my eyes peeled all day. As it turned to dusk and the time for fireworks came, I mumbled to DH how disappointed I was.

Then I heard my name shouted across Tomorrowland, and everything turned into slo-mo, just like in the movies! We ran across Tomorrowland to one another, it was so beautiful it still brings a tear to my eye.

Welcome to the DIS!!!!! It is so nice to have one our DH's checking in. (This is Shawna's identification smilie by the way.) She is the official stalker. Are you trying to take her place?


Actually Shawna has been very nice in her words about the "bladder issues." She has been very restrained i believe!! I had alot more to say about this, but decided to erase it, and save face.

So now you have me curious about the videos. I need to go back and look for Shawna. It will be like looking for "Waldo."



PS- It really is nice that you have joined in on Shawna's report. My DH wouldn't even know where to begin, or care. She is lucky to have a husband who is a Disney fan also.

I LOVE youre TR so far!

I had tears about Jake warming up to the characters! Thought you all did very well in AK, despite getting there so late....

SO jealous you met Daisy, we saw her, but missed her. Tommorowland was also our first destination in MK. I must say, SM in DL is by far better than WDW. DL was my first experience with it, of course, in '06. My impression was that it was SMOOTH, and PITCH BLACK- all I saw were stars, and I was really flying through the galaxy. WDW- not so much. I could see other cars and the rails and everything and it was really shaky. Fun, but will totally be better after the refurb.

And Rachael was also crying on Stitch and begging to be taken out. They should replace it with the Monsters, Inc. ride from DL. Or something similar. I guess it wouldn't fit into Tommorowland, but I just love the doors room!

Jake's pirate shirt is adorable- did you make that as well? I have to ask HOW did you learn to sew? Did you take lessons, did someone teach you... a book? Youtube? What? I'm trying and failing miserably. I want to learn, dang it.

Anywho- all caught up and lovin' it! You're family is just too cute and very go-with-the-flow.

I can't believe your luck with the crowds at AK - especially the time of day you were there!

Glad you liked Boma - one of my favorites also - yum!

Samantha rode Space Mountain for the first time last month too - I had to hold her shoulders the whole time - not the most comfortable position - LOL. Now that she has done it though, she if fine with me not holding her.

Are your glasses the Mickey head ones from the Disney Store? I almost bought those.

Daisy is always hard to find isnt she? I wish she was out more since the line is always so huge when she is.

Poor Rachael . The ride just needs to go. If you can call it a ride I guess. Show? We love the MOnsters Inc ride!!! Now you make me want to go ride it.

I took a sewing class at Joann's this year and then just practiced at home on different stuff challenging myself each time. Its been hard but fun! I'm still nervous everytime I get the machine out.

YES the glasses are from the Disney store and CM's kept asking where I got them. I told them and they were like "FIGURES" They were on clearance and I couldnt resist! I love sunglasses but I go for the cheap ones since I'm always losing them or sitting on them.

So you feel my pain about holding Jake on space mountain. UGH.

AK was so strange. No one was in line but the walkways were very congested. I was really bewildered by that.

We've had beautiful unseasonably warm weather here too!! It's been in the 70's!! Completely unheard of in November.

Shawna it only took me 2 crazy weeks of dealing with long workdays, the world series, the election and halloween...but I am finally catching up on my DISing and I have read through all of your report. Love it so far!
I still cannot get over how awesome that Minnie dress you made for Morgan is. I totally want one! I think it would be so cool if Disney made modern dresses based on Disney characters. And I LOVE the Alice shirt she wore to AK!
Your crazy day at Animal Kingdom was getting me stressed out too! So funny about the woman who said girls are drawn to dinosaur poop that is something you don't hear every day.
I am like Morgan, I like roller coasters but I am scared to death of the Yeti! I have never even seen him because I always screw my eyes shut on that part of the ride. I don't like the dino in Dinosaur either, I won't ride it anymore.
Your meal at Boma looked amazing...i haven't been there in a couple years and can't wait to get back! The card they gave you is so sweet.
I want to move to the southwest....83 degrees = Thanksgiving weather!! I have been bundled up in my overcoat, scarf, hat, and gloves for the past week

Hi Shawna

We made it . Right now I am in POFQ whilst Di wrestles with a case full of washing down at the laundry and 2 very tired children try to fight sleep, they have been in the pool till 10 tonight after a long day at Universal so they should be ready to crash.

So far the trip has been great. Di will catalogue all the highs and lows in great detail and I dont wanna hijack your thread Shawna.

Main point is ...................no cupcakes yet!!!!!! Not been able to find them so far and lord knows we are looking! I need very specific pointers, names of stores, distance from entrance, names of servers you know that kind of detail.

My brain is kinda fried now after a long day so I will bid adieu

SHAWNA!! I finally had a chance to read your entire TR! I'm sorry it too me so long. I read parts and didn't have the chance to finish. I love your TR and I give you props on your video taping skills.

I love the backpacks you got your kids. I remember seeing them in Disney Store during the summer and I thought they were too cute. To be honest, I wish they made those for adults.

The outfits you made your kids are adorable and I loved how you all decorated your window to the hotel with Mickey heads and pumpkins. It looked really cool.

Is Chef Mickey's similar to Goofy's Kitchen? That looks like a fun place. I think I have a picture of me standing in front of a Chef Mickey statue years and years ago. I think I was only 11 back then. I didn't see the restaraunt but I remember the statue was of Chef Mickey holding a salad bowl. I think my mom has that pic somewhere. Regarding the video your DH took in Chef Mickey's, it was cute to see Morgan scoping out the characters and turning her head around to find them.

I give you major for not ditching your family for that cupcake. The way you described it makes me want to fly to FL to get some. I tried some cupcakes that they sell here at DTD in Marceline's. They looked good but did not taste too great IMO. Your love for cupcakes must be like my love for dole whip floats. There were times where I considered ditching my boyfriend or family members just for a dole whip float. Our last trip I had one and then later on in the day I wanted another one and my family turned to me and said: "AGAIN???"


It was hilarious that you caled your DH "pee man." I laughed so hard at that part.

The Dinosaur ride sounds like a fun ride. I'm sorry Morgan got scared Loved Jake's dinosaur growl and how he wanted to do the impression in private.

Wow! Your anniversary dinner looked yummy! I love prime rib That's awesome how your sever gave you a cute card and the dessert looked heavenly!

My older sister went to FL this summer and went to AK with a friend. She said she liked EE too. I'm glad Morgan decided to go on it.

Oh and your Main St. video, I love that song "Surrey with the Fringe on Top" from Oklahoma. Every time I here that at DL it makes me happy. It's even better when the Elvis Billy sings it in Golden Horseshoe

Love the pic of Pluto signing an autograph for Jake. I see Pluto stuck in the autograph book on his nose so he would see what he's writing. Love the pic of your kids with Chip N' Dale and the video. Too cute
