My Magic Moment -- saw an old friend

Sorry, but I just have to share!! I knew from Facebook that a friend of mine would be at DL this week too. We were friends in grades K-5 until she changed schools. We've reconnected on FB, but not seen each other in person in ~30 years. We exchanged cell numbers hoping to meet, but no plans. Today we were leaving Peter Pan just as they were entering via the exit/wheelchair entrance. Wow!!!! No time for a picture, but within 30 minutes we had the opportunity to meet again. Still can't believe how this happened so effortlessly! Must have been some extra pixie dust in the air...

I love when stuff like that happens!

A few years ago we ran into 3 families from my kids' school, none of which we knew would be there.

But more recently and probably more special was running into a friend from high school. I had seen from his FB pictures that he was there, but hadn't let anybody know we were there. We were walking out of the Animation Academy when he walked by with his family. It was a quick catch up, but so much fun after 20 years.

The OP made me misty. The long-lost half of my family (my father--who I never met--and his relatives) lived/live in Santa Ana. I've never yet been blessed with finding them again. But every time I'm in DL, so close by, I hope and pray for that pixie dust to hit me...

I've run into relatives that I haven't seen for awhile at DL! It's so random, yet so magical at the same time!

I was trying to post this from the DIS app on my iPad at the hotel and it kept "trying". I didn't realize it actually posted!! Yay!!

I told my niece that she's the reason this all happened. She loves Peter Pan, so we had to go on the ride. When I saw my friend they needed to load, so no time for a picture. We figured we'd text each other and reconnect later. I got a text a while later asking if we were still in Fantasyland because they were on Dumbo. Just happens that we were beside Dumbo because Peter Pan had just been there!! There was no way my niece was walking past the elusive Peter Pan without getting her picture taken with him.... So we were able to meet my friend again for a picture.

It really was pixie dust and magic!
