Sorry if nobody is interested in this. I just thought I should "come clean" on my rebirth. lol. This thread can be deleted if in the wrong place. My open mindedness has not always been as grand as it is now.
I shall admit that while I'm almost 35, I grew up in a very, very, very conservative family and I voted Republican for every election up until the last one . I have never really cared how people lived their life even if my parents, friends, etc seemed to. However, I never really decided to stand up for all people to have the same rights as me. Although, I was open minded, I guess at that point I was against "gay marriage" for no other reason than everybody else around me was. For that I will always be upset at myself over.
One year, Georgia put a constitutional amendment on the ballot defining marriage. As I read the proposed constitutional amendment, something came over me and I could not be a bystander anymore. I read that stupid amendment for thirty minutes and could not deny basic rights to a fellow citizen. Even thinking about voting to deny gay marriage made me feel so guilty. I decided to vote against Georgia's definition of what marriage was. I told many people I knew what I did, and they could not believe what I had done. I didn't care though. How ANYBODY could read that amendment and choose to deny anyone something as special as marriage was beyond me. I could not figure out why people cared who somebody loved. From that moment on, I have campaigned and pushed for that amendment to be revoked. So, while I cannot claim to have been an enlightened person my entire life, I just wanted people in this forum to realize that people can change and become how we all should be.
I'll be at Gay Days from June 3-11 with my wife and now three girls (10, 6, and 1). If you see me, say hi!
Hope I am not wrong for posting here,
Matt
PS. I'm not drunk. hahahaha

I would be happy to say hello and wish your family well.

I love the cabins --particularly with kids. When my kids were small, they'd take the bedroom and I'd take the pull-down bed in the livingroom (pretty comfy -- way better than a fold-out sofa). The atmosphere is so peaceful -- after a busy day out and about at the parks. If your girls are still little, they will probably love the adorable little ponies they have at the farm. The main pool is being upgraded and they're currently installing a hot-tub (the only thing previously lacking -- IMHO). You are going to have a GREAT time!
