Born in June 1992, my sweet Bethany was 18 years old. She had hyperthyroidism and was completely deaf at the end but still had a good quality of life. Until this morning when she had 4 (at least, that I witnessed) seizures. Took her to the vet knowing this could be the end. The vet said there was a big mass in her stomach, a tumor, probably cancer, which is probably what was causing the seizures. Her back legs wouldn't work either. There wasn't much chance of her recovering, or if she did, who knows how much longer...so I decided to let her go.
This came on SO suddenly...last night she was fine. Well, fine for her anyway. Now she is gone.
I have four other cats but of course no one can ever take the place of my Bethany, my first kitty. We had gone through so much together!
I have spent all day crying off and on...sometimes just tears, sometimes hysterics. This is so painful. I loved her so much. I hope she knew that.
Hoping in time things will get better. Goodbye my sweet girl. Hope to see you on the other side someday.

So sorry to hear this. Prayers coming your way!
I love the Rainbow Bridge story as I find great comfort in it
