Thanks for the review!. I think we'll try it. DDs are 7 and 10.

I would love some details about it. Would you please share what it is like, and if I will be able to take my 2yr old. My DH and 7yr old are really looking forward to it.

Thanks alot!!

We were there in November and both our kids (DD5 & DS10) really liked it. We rode it several times on opening day. It started a BIG Stitch obsession for my son. I thought it was "ok", but I was glad the kids liked it! :)

That's great to hear! I am looking forward to see Stitch myself, when I go back! I just love Stitch! At the end of the ride did they have a gift shop, with a bunch of Stitch items?

I don't know about your 2 yr old, depends on the child. When my kids were 2 we had to take them out of all of the 3-D shows & anything dark. On stitch you are seated in rows in a circle, there is a bar that comes down over your shoulders ( that scared them alittle at first) it stops when it comes to your shoulders. You need to be sitting up in your seat so it will be comfortable during the show, I used my hands to stop it before my shoulders. It does get completely dark at one pont in the show, but it is not a scary show at all. It was kind of funny & has some disgusting parts (my kids thought that was so funny) such as, spitting & burping. It is a show for KIDS, but we also enjoyed it somewhat. Oh yea when he is running loose, he bounced on the bars on your shoulders & tickled the back of your head. :D

Stitch has a height minimum of 38" . So glad to see a good review of this ride because my son loves Stitch! I am so sick of reading thread after thread about how awful it is!

DS2, age 11, loved this ride. He was terrified of It's Tough to Be a Bug near the end (he hates bugs), but loved Stitch.

Is there a height requirement for Stitch? My 2 1/2 year old LOVES Stitch and we're trying to get a sense of which rides he'll be able to go on. He's very tall (41") and daring (as long as Mommy's there to hold his hand.) Any info regarding the Stitch (without giving too much away  ) would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Sorry, guys! Carrieberry beat me to it! But would still like any other info regarding the premise of the ride!

Thanks!

A general overview of the ride....

You move through a couple of "holding chambers" that have either a tv show or a robot that it telling part of the story. You are being trained to be a part of the team that handles dangerous inmates (i.e. its a jail) so there is a little story to it. If you have seen the movie, you will recognize the final chamber where Stitch is transported into the center glass cell and of course escapes and creates all kinds of havoc, like eating through the electrical cords, burping and spitting, jumping around the room, and getting into all sorts of trouble. The guns are active - trying to fire at him some and he has to disarm them as well (the DNA weapons from the Stitch movie). When he kills the power, it is dark in the theater for about 20 seconds. The seat back that lowers over your shoulders is to allow stitch to "jump" on you and it has all the sounds and smells and water in it. Basically, it is a 4-D show with Stitch.

My 2 and 4 year old think it is a fantastic show! They are looking forward to riding it again as both love Stitch and all his antics. I simply reached out and held their hands beside me when it got dark in the theater. No problems at all.

I think it is a cute ride and we will ride it often. I never did Alien Encounter, but it is my understand that this is a more friendly version of a similar ride.

Try it! It seems to be one of those you have to try to see if you will like it.

I'm glad I read this thread. I was beginning to get worried because our next trip planned in June is just me and the kids and I'd already told them about the Stitch ride... then I realized it was still like AE but with stitch and was worried none of them would get to ride (since I won't send in my older two without me- which means the almost 5yr old at that time would have to go too). I think she'll be okay.... she might not want to ride it AGAIN, but she shouldn't freak out during the show. LOL
