I spent the week trying to unclog, burp and clean the machine to try to get it to work again. Spent hours researching and finally have come with the conclusion the pump does not work. Of course its a few month past its warranty. I want to get another Platinum model and I am thinking the best deal right now is at Bed and Bath with a 20% off coupon making the purchase 144.00. Have I missed anywhere else for a better price?

Did you call them? Mine stopped working a few months after the warranty, and after troubleshooting on the phone, they sent me a new one.

I would call the company before you buy a new one. I have heard from other posters that they are very good about making repairs out of warranty.

They just replaced both of mine and they were outside the warranty period. Don't buy a new one, they will replace it. Just call them to problem solve first (even though you already know it's dead).

My local Costco has this model for about 149.00. That includes an assortment of 60 k-cups. Costco also has great customer service should you have another problem. If you do not belong to Costco, check out Costco online. The do not require membership for ordering from them.

If you do end up having to buy I new one, I second going to Costco. They have excellent customer service and will replace if you have any problems. My dad is on his third, my FIL is on his second, and friends of ours are on their second. They all bought from Costco and had no problem with getting a replacement.

The model seems to have lots of issues, not sure why Keurig hasn't done something about it yet. We've had the basic model (B40, I think?) for 3 or 4 years now and have never had a problem.

Call them. They replaced mine, even though it was beyond the warranty period. The sent a new one. So now I have a replacement for the replacement they sent. Great customer service.

Where did you get yours from?

Bed Bath and Beyond exchanged mine without receipt, no questions asked. They said they 100% guarantee all products.

I second (and third, and fourth) the "CALL THEM" advice! I've called and had THREE different machines replaced even though they were out of warranty. They have excellent customer service. Don't spend a penny on a new one until you try to call and get one through them!

My Platinum died in July, just would not turn on and I tried plugging it into several different outlets and it was a year and a half past waranty. I called them and I had a newer model delivered about a week later. Now this one is giving me a hard time as it keeps coming up PRIME and I have to take off the water tank and readjust it...guess they'll be getting another call from me soon.

Same thing happened to me! They have excellent customer service, although these machines seem to break A LOT!

Ditto on the call them.... mine died 1 month past warrenty and they still honored it. All you have to send back to them is the little removable k cup holder.

WOW I am a bit surprised that people keep buying these things, it seems that almost everyone has problems with them. We had one at work for about 2 months before it died. Many co-workers have had problems with them. I think they are a bit expensive to use so I stick with my regular coffee maker. I paid $40.00 for it and have had it for a couple of years. I guess if they keep replacing them for free it is OK, but it seems like a hassle.

Mine has been going strong for over three years, with no sign of distress. So not all of them have problems.

I'm passed the one year mark and haven't had any problems. I make sure to use bottled water (I buy from large dispenser at Walmart or use the gallon-sized jugs), change the filter every 4 months, and ran vinegar through the machine several times a couple of months ago.
