My husband passed away

Not sure if anyone even remembers me, but I haven't been around in a while

My husband passed away in Dec, after a very brief battle with Cancer. We had the definite diagnosis only 2 1/2 wks before he died. No time for chemo, or radiation.

Anyway, I and my girls are hanging in, but could use a friendly word or advice from ANYONE who has experienced this. DH was 48, I am 45 and have 2 teen girls.

I feel more and more lost everyday

I am so sorry for your loss. I have never been through this, but I am close to your age. I can't imagine how hard this if for you and your girls.

I'm so sorry. I wish I could help in some way. We have a friend whose husband was diagnosed with cancer after going to the doctor with back pain. He lived less than a month. It was such a shock for everybody. I will add your family to my prayers. Here's a virtual hug >

I'm sorry. My cousin's husband died at about your husband's age and she had a 14 year old daughter a 7 year old daughter. They went to counseling and it helped a great deal.

I know a lady at work whose husband died suddenly. She took some time off and after she came back I asked her how she was doing and she said that she was just putting one foot in front of the other. She also said that she tried to stay busy.

I truly can't imagine how you must feel. I'm so sorry.

I have had no experience with this, but my thoughts and prayers are with you and your DD's. Stay strong.

Grief counseling and support groups can help. Take it one day at a time, and you will begin a "new normal".

I just said a prayer for you and your children. I know that sometimes faith is the only thing that can get us out of bed sometimes, and even then it's hard. I think the pp suggestion of counseling is a valuable one. I will keep you in my prayers.
