Our large gathering (over 30) will be on their own for most of our January trip. . .but I'd like to put in a few PSs for us to hook up (we already have a character breakfast). My biggest question is the best place to see the EPCOT fireworks. We usually eat one night at the Rose & Crown. . .and then stay for the show. But I'm not sure this is possible with SO many. I know you Dis wizards will have some great suggestions. . .

Thanks in advance!! :teeth:

If you are set up as a Grand Gathering sign up for the Epcot International Buffet. I think the current price per adult is $59.99 including tax and gratuity. You will be in either Oddessy or World Showplace for the meal. It will be a buffet with food from four countiures. There will be a DJ as well as some Streetmousephere people with fun and games for all. You will then be taken to a private viewing area with a dessert buffet.

If you are not set up as a GG contact reservations immediately. The requirement to be considered a GG is at least 8 people and at least 80% of the group are staying in Disney owned and operated resorts. With 30 people at least 24 must be in a Disney resort. Here is more information that can help.

The above post makes a lot of sense and I think it would be a really good time. If you don't think the group will go for it (I thought the price was a little steep to convince everyone even though I think it would be totally worth it) I would try either Biergarten or Teppanyaki for reservations. Biergarten seats parties of 8 to 10 at one table, so you'd only need 3 tables and Teppanyaki does the grill thing in the middle of the table and I think they seat 8.

Good luck!

The only restaurant from which you can see Fantasmic is the Rose & Crown. If your goal is to "hook up" and all sit together, I doubt if it would work for you. I believe you would be spread among many tables. In addition there is no guarantee that you will be able to be seated on the terrace to see Fantasmic. They do however have a spot for you to watch, if you have been seated inside.
I don't know anything about the International Buffet, but it sounds like the ideal solution. A private viewing area with dessert sounds perfect for your group.
Folks are already making their ADR's for January, so you should probably try to come to a decision pretty quickly, to maximize your options.
Good Luck in your planning.

Thanks you guys. . . I'm going to look into the Biergarten for us I think. No one in our group is willing to pay $60 for the dinner package (even though it would ROCK!) :confused3 Any other large group advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! :rotfl:

Hopefully said:

Didn't the fact that Illuminations was going on right in front of you take away from your enjoyment while watching Fantasmic?
