I got married just about three weeks ago now. So far, married life is pretty good. It was a perfect day and it was an even more perfect honeymoon in Jamaica.

Anyway, I took a ton of photos (but not as many as I thought I would take). Below are a few of them. If you would like to see all the photos I uploaded, you can go to my Flickr collection for them. But below are some of my favorites. You can follow the links to see metadata and, as always, comments and criticism are greatly appreciated here and on my Flickr.

Oh, pretty much every picture was taken with my Canon Digital Rebel XT with a 17-85 f/4-5.6 IS lens. The underwater photos were taken with a 4-year-old Canon point and shoot with an underwater casing I found on Amazon.

Thats enough for this post, I'll add more in another.

Lastly, some local flora and fauna:

This guy was on our hotel room door. Looks like a gecko to me:

That's it for now, happy 4th of July to everyone and I look forward to your comments!

Congrats :goodvibes Beautiful pictures! I love the underwater ones.

Great pictures! Congratulations and best wishes!:)

Ben,

Those are great pics! Congrats to you and your wife.

How do you like the lens? It looks like it is doing a great job for you. One suggestion, of those pics would be the last one in the first group you posted. The one with you and her at the table with wine and cheese plate. If that was shot in RAW, you can easily change the white balance to make it look alot better. I think you can do that with a jpg as well, but as I understand it, it will not come out as well as with a RAW file.

Again, congrats to you and your wife.

Congrats on the marriage. :thumbsup2

Did he try to sell you any insurance? That has been known to happen, I've heard...

Welcome back Mr. Ben! Congrats on a great honeymoon and a collection of fine pictures.

See you soon.

:thumbsup2

Everyone, thank you for the warm wishes and kind comments on my photos. It was such a great trip!

Andrew, I did shoot everything in RAW. I worked to make the white balance a little cooler but I'm not sure if I like it better or not. I like the long exposure shots with light like that to look a little warm. But maybe I'll upload the edited one and see what you think.

You know, it was strange. He tried to sell me motorcycle insurance this time. I guess he didn't realize I did have a motorcycle!

Congrats and best wishes for the future. You make a lovely couple.
Lovely photos, thanks.

If you like the warmer look, then that is fine too. I guess I prefer the cooler colors a bit more. Actually, when the sun is setting (I'm never up for a rising sun), I like to get that look warmer, otherwise I tend to go towards the cooler look. It is all up to the photographer which look they like the best.
