Are you staying 6 nights? If so you are 2 credits short so I would definitely use those....somehow. keep in mind you will also have 2 snacks each day which are great for breakfast. If you are staying 5 nights you are a credit over so I would take away a signature. Maybe do kozzina instead of yachtsman?

I'm actually there for 7 nights but only have a 6 day park hopper. Kouzzina does sound good. I'm trying to limit my walking for the day after the marathon in case I pull up lame after the race. Since Kouzzina is the same boat ride as Yachtman's, having the two locations close by will help that.

I'm assuming I'll order a pizza Monday night, as it's my travel day. Almost all my snack credits are souvenirs cookies and candy for my niece and nephew.

I'll most likely add a turkey leg in there as well.

Looks good to me. We are running the Wine & Dine. Our ADR's are a little different but still pretty decent. We have a couple of meals left but I'm sure we'll use them somewhere.

Didn't mean to hijack your thread.. :)

is this your first Disney race? Because if not these may work because you know you will be faster, but for me I think 11:15 for a meal after the race is too soon.

I know the race starts at 5:40 but that's only if you are in corral A. If not it could be closer to 6 (not to mention I have had them run late) So let's say it takes you 2 hours. It's 8 before you get to the end. Then there's the maze to get through to get your food, medal, pictures if you want them etc... 9, bus to hotel etc...

I am a slower runner (2:30 half) and have never made it back to my hotel before about 10

Then you would have to move quick to get cleaned back up and out the door in time to get to Tusker House... I wouldn't want that rush.

The other thing I don't see considered is packet pickup. If you haven't done it at Disney before it's NOT a fast process and at some races is downright horrid, plus it's a big expo if you want to tour.

Also if it were me I would be out of a park by noon the day before a race but that's just me knowing my legs won't be in good shape if I spend the afternoon at a park

Just a warning... "whatever is open after the run" will be CS only. No TS open

Thanks for the heads up. I've moved my Tusker House reservation to 12:45. This gives me an extra 90 minutes post race. Personally, my time is more in the 3:10 range, so if I start in a late coral, most of the people will be done getting medals and pictures by the time I cross the line.

I was thinking of doing packet pick-up wednesday night. I'll have to double check the hours though.

Actually you will still be with "most of the people" I have stayed around until the very end of the race to cheer on friends and it's just crowded from the time I get there until well after it's over.

I don't do pictures so I can skip that but it's not the fastest post race experience either :)

Totally agreed on all accounts.

You think 2:30 is slow for a half??? I'm in trouble. ;)

Also OP, consider travel time to get from Epcot to AK for Tusker House. That could be a disaster with all of the other people travelling from the race.

I made reservations that morning at Akershus after the race. I'm still a little concerned that they're too early as well. This will be my first half and I'm starting in the last corral (I'm assuming), and am expecting to be every bit of 3:30 allotted. I'm reallllly slow. LOL

I've got a bug up my butt about Tusker, since Donald is on the Half Medal, and he also hosts The Tusker buffet. This is going to be my Facebook photo after the race.

After my first half my boyfriend drug me to Donald Duck in Epcot because he thought I needed that photo of me and Donald with the medal :rotfl2:

Since it sounds like this is your first Disney race experience allow a good amount of time for the Expo. There is a lot to see and you should take the chance to look at it.

If you want any of the Disney merchandise pack your patience... at DL this Labor Day lines took HOURS (yes folks two hours was commonly reported. I don't stand in line that long to give Disney money :) ) That's why I asked about the Expo in your plans.I think you are cutting it pretty close on Wed since the Expo closes at 8. (It closes at 7 the other nights so this is your "late" night for Disney) You might make it for packet pick up but not much else.

OK thanks for the advice everyone. Moved my Tusker House to 1:25 and Brown Derby to around 7. Thanks for all the help. :thumbsup2

I think I'll go to the expo first thing. I'll move my reservations around. I'm staying at Pop, so I can catch the first bus over at 9:00 and wait in line for the opening at 10. I should be able to do pickup, buy some crap and see everything by 12:30 - 1, and then head over to MK for 2. Again, thanks for all the great advice. You guys are awesome.

And I have to swap my Hollywood studios day from Thursday to Wednesday Since the expo does not open until 11 on Wednesday. I'll do the expo for a 9 am opening on Thursday (8am bus from pop), then second day of MK in the Afternoon. Now to change 4 ADR's... At least I'm killing time at work.

Just a warning... "whatever is open after the run" will be CS only. No TS open

I have read on numerous boards and posts that some of the kiosks for the Food & Wine festival will be open after the race. If that is not true it will disappoint my wife. If it is true then we'll probably be going to a couple of them. :)

I knew that no TS will be open at around 12-12:30 am. Since there is a post race party too I'm assuming that they will have some type of food option available since you can buy tickets to the post race party.

This will be my first half marathon but I have been running 5k's and 10k's for the last 6 months. My wife is figuring to finish in 2:10 and I'm looking at 2:20. Two of my wife's friends are running and should be around the 2:30 to 2:40 mark.

thanks for the info. i can not run, but will be with a friend who is running the goofy. :cool1: hope she finishes in time for the expo.

I'll be the fat guy to your left. :wave2:

LOL, Oh great, I'll be the fat girl to your right then!! :wave2: I swear, you would think with all this running that I would start losing weight, but it just doesn't want to come off. Really kind of angry about that.

OrangeCountyCommuter.... So I had a reservation at Captain's Grille that morning after the half around 10:30.... I should probably change that then huh. LOL I planned on just walking back through Epcot over there, we're staying at BCV, but now I think that may not be possible.

It starts 4:30 or 5:30? I thought 4:30, so I figured I'd have plenty of time. But you're saying not till 5:30? And then a friend of mine was telling me that the last corral doesn't leave for like an hour or more after the first ones. :/

Any insight you have on timing that morning, I would really super appreciate. :)
