Traveling to WDW with my son Nov 3-9. Our friends, family of 4, decided to go during the same approximate time - Nov 1-7. We are all staying on property and will link our MDE accounts.

We are going to spend at least 3 days together. My 180 ADR day is May 7, and their day is May 5. Could we make dining reservations under my friends account on May 5 for our whole group? Even Hoop Dee Doo where you need to name each person on the reservation?

What about FP? Could we make FPs on the earlier date for all 6 of us or do they need to do them separately or only when my FP window opens?

Thanks!

If you and your son have separately linked tickets - not a room+tickets package, you can use the earlier FP window if FPs are slected for the complete group.

Your friends can make ADRs for 6 on their 180 days out. You don't have to name everyone who will be included at the meal if you don't want to. Shouldn't be a problem if they do, but you don't have to. You really only need to list the lead guest for ADRs. You can also go back later & name the guests.

Sorry, just reread your post about having to name the guests at Hoop Dee Doo. I have not eaten there but I still think it will be fine. They are entitled to make ADRs & are not limited to making them for only the people in their room.

We have a DVC room reservation (purchased points from an owner) and tickets purchased separately. So I can go into MDE right now and make FPs for 30 days out, but not 60. I think you are saying that if we synch up, we can make FPs for all of us under my friend's account, correct?

Correct. Because you aren’t listed on their reservation, when FPs are booked, you have to be included with the onsite people at the time of the FP booking. Then you can always Modify your FPs if you need to.

DVC reservations are entitled to the 60 day FP window, not 30 days.
