He has soft tissue sarcoma. Unfortunately it has wrapped itself around the pelvic region and is inoperable. I am just so sad.
This is my son and Boots. I still have to tell him:(

As the "mother" of a 14 yr old Rottie w/ heartworms...I sympathize with you.
Your family is in my prayers.

I am very sorry. Spend all the time you can with your doggy. I lost two pets to cancer very unexpectedly. I wish I could have spent more time with them.

Hugs going out to you and your family. We lost our 15 year old cat 2 1/2 years ago to inoperable tumors. We had just about a month with him after we found out. I hope you have longer. Spend as much quality time with him as you can.

Thank you everyone. I'm just going to have a really hard time telling my son tonight:(

For the life of me I don't know why I open these threads!! I always end up with tears on the keyboard! My thoughts are with you and agree with others love your doggy for as long as his life is still enjoyable. I placed many greyhounds in loving homes and fostered many, they are one of the most loving dogs and make some of the best pets. My last one lived to be 14 and others were about the same age. :grouphug:

I'm so sorry. We own two greyhounds and I'm dreading the day they leave us. Our prayers go out to you.
