My Gluten Free Dining Reviews: Sit down and counter service

Sounds like you had some great meals!!! :thumbsup2 Thanks for sharing your experience.

Thanks for sharing info on your meals. Upcoming will be my first time in Disney GF. :thumbsup2

Really great reviews!!! :thumbsup2

I am actually eating at CHH (dying for the allergy free chicken tenders!), Cape May Cafe, and 50's Prime Time all for the first time since going GF and dairy free. The reviews make it sound like they are all fantastic choices. I emailed the chef at 50's PT about the GF fried chicken being dairy free too (which it is)...and I'm soooo ready to eat there! Reading your review made my mouth water!

I too love Sunshine Seasons and feel it's the best CS on property. The chicken there is pretty fab and I'm planning on getting the pork chop this time!

Thanks again for the great review! :)

thanks for the great reviews! i can't wait to go back... not having to cook for the week is the best... lol

Looks like you had a successful trip! I am trying to find one more TS restaurant for my trip next month, and you gave me some good ideas. I've been wondering about Paradiso 37, and I'm glad to see a GF review for it. Thanks for the reviews!

A heads up on the 50's Prime Time chicken that I learned while I was at WDW recently is to call ahead of your reservation and say you need the GF fried chicken. It takes 30-40 minutes to make it. I didn't know about it when we had our ressie there and was told they were unable to accommodate that request unless they are notified in advance (earlier in the day of your reservation).

fantastic reviews--I never got to try the 50's prime time either--we were so stuffed from our Lunch with the Imagineer that we cancelled our ressies....I'm still wondering what we missed.;)

Good grief--I never realized that I already read your report--I must be dreaming of Disney again.....:goodvibes:goodvibes

We noted on our ADR about our allergies but we did NOT tell them ahead of time that we'd want the fried chicken and the chef still made it. I do understand warning guests about extended prep time (we've had chefs do that when DD12 asks for rice because rice does take time to cook and some places don't normally have it prepared) but saying no because of the time it takes is unacceptable. We go there BECAUSE OF the allergy safe fried chicken. Of course we also eat at somewhat off times (our most recent ADR time for 50s PTC was at 11:25 for lunch) so lines haven't built up at this point which probably also helps.

I honestly don't remember it taking that long to make the chicken. it didn't feel that long. Of course the chef did have to come back out to the table to discuss our milkshake options and then our girls were very occupied by their delicious allergy free milk shakes so that might have made time pass quicker.

I personally would not accept an answer of "it takes too long to make" from a chef. Then again, this is for my kids. If it was for me I would likely just ask for suggestions for something else so really I guess I would accept it under certain circumstances.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences! Next month will be my first time to Disney GF and Dairy free.

Thanks for the reviews. It makes me look forward to my next trip. I was kinda dreading the eating out. I have only been GF since April, and eating out is very difficult. It looks like it might not be such a hassle at WDW. This help me a lot!

OP, why did you delete your reviews? I did a search for gluten-free dining options at Beaches & Cream, and this thread came up.
