Yeah, I know this is realllyyy late, I just wanted to say stuff.

My gf of a year, dumped me on valentines day, and cheated on me with 2 guys. (including going all the way with one).

im a good guy. I'm waiting for marriage to have sex, i dont drink or smoke. i just wish people would give me more respect for it. i feel like all my morals and such are so overlooked. in todays society, its hard to find someone like me. i just wish i could find her, the one who will make me really happy someday. i pray for her everynight.

You are a good guy. Obviously she wasn't the right one for you. You should be very happy you found this out now, before you went any further. I feel the very same way you do, especially the part I bolded. You need to have confidence in the fact that you are living an honest, moral life and eventually good things will come to you. I really can relate to you. I get the impression that you are young (I could be wrong) but I imagine you have a long life ahead of you and plenty of time to find the person you will be with for the rest of your life.

Years ago I had a roommate with a very similar story and she is now happily married. Take pride in the decisions you have made, they show a great amount of repsect, high self value, and determination for your goals. You obviouly have great attributes and do not worry she is out there and when you meet her, you will know.

You're not alone. My DD is your age and feels the same as you do. Her BF is older than her and shares the same views.

Now, to be honest, she doesn't run across a lot of people at her university who feel the same way she does , but there are some. Her roommate for next year and the roommate's BF also look at things the same way (that's why DD and the other girl decided to live together next year - neither of them are partiers, and they've heard a few remarks about their being "goody two shoes").

Things will work out eventually - just give it some time (I know that's easier said than done).

I know exactly what you mean about morals being overlooked in today's society. I feel like I don't really relate to a lot of people my age because I'm not into the whole party scene. That's all people do around here. Of course, I'm sure I will have to deal with it even more when I transfer to a university this fall. But don't worry too much, there are still plenty of moral people out there.

Well let me say this. CONGRATS on being so strong and waiting! I commend you!! Any girl who doesn't feel the same is not the one for you. I think it is a blessing that she did that now, before you married her and really got hurt.

In todays society, those morals are overlooked... even frowned down on BUT that doesn't make it wrong. Keep up the awesome work on waiting!!

Now as far as waiting for " the one that will make you happy" I just want to be sure you know no one can ever make you happy, happiness is within yurself. You probably know what I mean and just worded it that way, but just want to say that. If you are "complete" on your own, then she will come.

I think your morals will be respected - by people who share them. You really can't expect people who don't share those morals to think better of you for them. It just won't happen - it is human nature for us all to think our own moral codes are the best.

I also share your beliefs. Fortunately I was able to find like minded people to date.

The same thing happened to my very moral DH at about the same age you are. He was in college in another town. He thought things were fine between his gf and him. She not only cheated on him, she got pregnant!!!!

The nice guys DO win in the end, I promise! I ended up with the best husband in the world. We didn't meet until we were 27 though and didn't marry until 29. We were friends for over a year before we started dating.

An upstanding man or woman is hard to find these days.

But I strongly agree with the other poster, FIND a place to hang out where others have similar values. Are you of a certain religion? Hang out there! I am sure there are some who aren't following what they are supposed to be, but you will find many who are.

It WILL pay off. You can't be untrue to your beliefs and be happy.

{{{{HUGS}}}} Hang in there. I know the right one is out there waiting to meet you. I wish I could introduce you to my DD17. She has the same trouble. She won't "put out" so guys end up dumping her after a couple of months. She's heading off to VT in August. I hope she will maintain her personal morals and integrity in the new environment.
