My funny 5yo's Thoughts

First off, she thinks the entire state of Florida is Disney. When we landed at Orlando, she's looking around saying "where's Mickey, mommy??" she was so excited she made an airport attendant say she wished she was going to see Mickey. I tried to explain to her that Disneyworld is in Florida, but she'd have nothing of it.
So, one day during our trip, we're driving to Busch Gardens. She pipes up from the backseat "Mom!!! Look, houses!!" Right, houses...she's excited over houses? Puzzled, I said, "yes hon..there's houses in Florida". "But Mom!" She tells me amazed, "That means people LIVE at Disney!!!"
Oh the sweet innocence of kids....

That's so funny. When my nephew was 3 my whole family (8 of us) went to Disney. When we got back we were trying to teach him some states on a puzzle. He could point to Kentucky (where we are from), California and Maine (not sure how he knew that one), but when when we said Florida, he didn't know. My brother said, "Where's Disney" and then he pointed to Florida. It's so sweet the things kids come up with.

I remember when my son was about 4 and we were at a friend of his from preschool. Somehow the topic of states came up and the other boy said he was from Michigan. My son looked shocked and said in amazement "I'M from Michigan too!" Other mom and I were laughing thinking "Wow, what are the odds of that?" (We lived in Michigan at the time).
