My Fork and I Are Friends - Nov. 14 TR RL UPDATE 7/12 Pg. 22

Oh travel days. At least (other than the hour delay) it doesn't sound like it was too bad!
Your airport sounds fun. :thumbsup2

HAHAHA Sounds like my Mother in law! She RUNS through the airport and then stands and waits for Johnny and I who stroll through leisurely and still get there on time. :rotfl2:

Oh man that's so late to be getting in and settled. Glad you got there though!

It wasn't too bad! I get initially nervous about them, because of the fact that a lot of times, one delay brings on another. But that was the only one we got, so everything was all good.

It was so funny! She has to go through that line, because that's how they direct you when they check your ticket at Milwaukee, but then she was rubbing it in. Which is why I had to bring her down to earth a little. :lmao:

The time was late, but we were all really excited about the trip, so us having to get up the next day wasn't too bad.

Eeeeeeek!!!! I'm so glad to see you started a new trip report! Yours makes me laugh hysterically so I can't wait to see what this trip has in store. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving

Awww, thanks so much! I'm glad that they make you laugh.

Hey Danielle! I've been beyond busy and haven't had much time to visit the DIS. Thanks for the heads up as I love your trip reports!

I wasn't aware the lights were turned off. I figured they kept them on all night. Hmmmmm......

Jealous of your Kidani Village stay and looking forward to reading more.

I'm glad you're here!

I wasn't aware that the lights were turned off either, but I guess, you know, saving on electricity might be a good idea. LOL.

We were only there for one night, but AKL is one of my favorite resorts.

I love all those TR title candidates- can't wait to hear all the details about them!

Ugh that stinks that work was so crazy, I feel like that ALWAYS happens the day before vacation.

I swear you make arrival day sound just as fun as park days! haha so hilarious, I love it! :rotfl2:

Haha, we had a lot of possible candidates! It was a pretty funny trip overall.

It always seems like it happens that way for me right before I leave for vacation. I just accept it now. :rotfl:

Hahaha, I'm glad! I just don't want to bore anyone with the details of traveling, so I just highlight everything that happens in a funny way.

I love the Jamberry nails, they look awesome!

Flight delays ... ouch. At least you made up time and didn't get in too much later than expected!

Thanks! I have another set for my trip over New Years too. Different design.

Thankfully we didn't get in much later.

I love your name for Kaepernick ... I hate that guy. Seriously.

I would have been like your mom, gloating about the pre-check - I just like not having to take off my shoes (last time I flew we were randomly assigned to pre-check both ways).

For real, that guy just drives me absolutely crazy. And he's not even that good. I think that's why I'm so frustrated by him.

Oh I get the not having to take off your shoes and stuff being a plus. It was just funny that she gloated and then had to wait for us anyway.

"Sometimes, all I hear is womp womp womp" - I love it!

I can't believe the gates were dark ... that's so sad!

Foreshadowing ... although I don't think 5 hours of sleep is something that you ever don't reget.

No joke, that's exactly what he said. :rotfl2:

It was sad!

I actually didn't regret the 5 hours of sleep. We had a lot of fun the next day, so we were okay with it in the end.

All those TR titles look fantastic! "That Looks Like Jesus." I don't know, but I probably would've gotten to this comment quicker if that was the title... just saying. ;)

Sorry to hear that work was a bit insane. I LOL'd so bad at the Stewie and Lois GIF. Every time that came on TV when it was the primary Family Guy commercial, she would point it out to my sisters and I saying, "THIS. THIS IS WHAT I GO THROUGH." I'm guessing you were doing the same thing after work.

I'll have to remember that for the future. "That Looks Like Jesus" makes for a more entertaining TR title. :lmao:

Timmy, I'm not kidding when I tell you that is my life at work every single day. It's one of the unfortunate side effects of being in Management. :rotfl: It's just like parenting.

:thumbsup2 to those fab Disney nails!

The Milwaukee airport sounds like the place to be. Sorry that your flight got delayed. Yay for more random Popadon pictures-that-we-may-not-ever-know-the-reason-or-story-but-really-don't-care. LOL @ the conversation with the Southwest employees. Too bad it only sounds funny to me as a result of GIFs and hints at bags being thrown for some reason since I'm not a football fan. And I can just only imagine how going through security must've been with your mom :rotfl:

I loved those Disney nails! So many compliments on them all week long.

The funny thing about pictures of Popadon is often I don't even have a story behind them, because I have no idea why he does what he does. :rotfl2:

Football is serious business. Team rivalries can get kind of crazy, but it's always fun to joke around with other fans, so the Milwaukee exchange was pretty funny.

Yay for you and Julia getting to keep your row to yourselves! Nay to your mother bonking you on the head with a water bottle.

What does it say about me totally predicting that Popadon was going to totally not listen to you and your mother's conversation? I have read your TRs for so so long (and enjoyed every minute of it :teeth: ).

Awww, that's too bad about driving through a darkened Gates of Heaven, but OMG AKL is still looking incredibly gorgeous.

I hope this foreboding sense of foreshadowing I'm getting right now doesn't put a huge damper on your first day in the parks. Still, can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

I was super excited about us having the row to ourselves! Getting bonked on the head by my Mom wasn't exactly pleasant, but we'll never know why it happened I guess.

It's true though! If you read my TR's long enough, you start to know that my Pop doesn't really listen very well to people. Selective hearing at it's best.

AKL is definitely a gorgeous resort. One of my favorites.

OK, totally looking forward to hearing about ALL these titles. Especially "Excuse Me. Can I Pet Your Monkey?" because... reasons.

I would never not take travel day off and your experience really shows why. Yikes!

Wow. MCO is so barren. Kinda eerie.

Geez that would be awful to have all your luggage all over the place like that. I never even thought of that before.

They turn off the lights?????? I had no idea. That would be so weird. Did they not know Popadon was coming????

Of course you want to know about "Excuse Me. Can I Pet Your Monkey?" It just sounds wrong. :lmao:

I am supremely greedy when it comes to my time off. I am all about maximizing my vacation time. If that means getting in super late, then it means getting in super late.

It is interesting to get there that late, because there are not many people around. Arrive any earlier, and there are tons of people.

I had never thought of luggage breaking over and being everywhere before either! Then you see it and it's like "oh yeah, that kind of stuff can totally happen!"

They clearly did not get the memo that Popadon was on his way. Shame on them.

I do the same thing you did EVERY time I go to take my vacation and spend about 90% of my day trying to will the clock to speed up lol

Ugh trip delays are NEVER fun but especially not when trying to get to the mouse!

I think that they have the gate lights on a timer depending on the season/ day of week etc..but dang it doesn't Disney get how important perfect blurry gate pics are???

I can't wait for more!!

Ugh, I know! It sucks when you're just hoping for the day to end and it just doesn't.

I figured they do have the gates on a timer. I mean, you don't want to spend money on all that electricity when no one will see it. Well, almost no one.

Awww, the MKE airport. Maybe we can get a tagline "The Friendliest Place on Earth". We almost ALWAYS fly out of there, but I got a much better deal on a flight out of O'Hare, which I'm sure I'll end up regretting, but whatever.

I usual work if we have a late departure. This time I'll be coming off a week off for Christmas with my family. I'm sure we'll have the whole family togetherness thing down pat come the 9 day trip to Disney :lmao:

Hey, how about those Packers???

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRqKYXcL-2U

"Hey, is this the party???":yay:

I know! I always fly Southwest. Every time I've tried to get a better price with another airline, I take into consideration that I have to pay for baggage, and we don't end up saving anything at all!

I know, how about them Packers! :thumbsup2

I love your family. You all sound like so much fun!

Woot woot for Milwaukee airport! I'm a Milwaukeean. I don't really fly, but I've done a lot of pick ups and drop offs, and it is a pretty sweet airport.

What is it about Spotted Cow? I hate beer, but my DH doesn't get the big deal.

Glad you had such a smooth trip. Yikes for arriving so late, but I'm not one to complain while at Disney!

Looking forward to hearing about your TR title and possible titles!

Awww, thanks!

It really is a great airport. I love going there and they just make everything so much easier.

I think it's because it's more local. I'm a beer snob, so I don't think it's the best beer in the world. I much prefer Belgian beer, or something like Guinness, but Spotted *** is much better than stuff like Miller. Blech.

Nope, no one was complaining about being in Disney. We were just happy to be there.

I'm here!

Okay doesn't sound like the travel day was off to a great start.

I love it when full flights aren't actually full and you get a whole extra seat of space.

Aww that poor family :( That would suck hardcore.

You still wanted to get up at 8 after not getting in until 3? I can already see why that would be a bad idea :p

Yay, I'm glad you're here!

It wasn't, but travel days are just a means to an end, right?

I do too! Most times they've announced that they're full and they are, but this time we had the spare seat, so I wasn't about the complain about that.

That would totally suck if your suitcase came open! I felt so terrible for them.

I did want to get up at 8am, and you know what? I totally did. :thumbsup2

My sister will fly in on those late, after work hours, flights. But getting to bed at 3 am after working all day has got to be hard. :faint:
We prefer to sleep in our own bed and then wake up at 3:300am for a six am flight. I'm not sure that one is better than the other. But an afternoon nap is a must after that early morning flight. ::yes::

It is still hard, but I just think "I'm in Disney, I'm in Disney", and it makes it that much better.

I remember when I first stumbled upon one of your older TRs. I was thinking, "Huh, that's a lot of GIFs ..." Now that I "know" you, I would feel that your TR was lacking if you didn't have any mixed in with your updates!!!

My family is so quiet for the most part other than the times when my dad goes all "old Chinese man" because that is rather loud and embarrassing (don't know if you've ever been to a real Chinese restaurant before because it's difficult to even think in all that noise!). When I read about your family's shenanigans like shouting to your mom that she has to wait for you anyway, I feel as if there's balance in my life, haha. My older brother used to punch me in the arm (haha, and still does!) when I act wacky in public or do anything that might draw attention to us!

Hahaha, I know! Now they're a part of what's normal and I feel like if I don't use enough GIFs people will wonder what the heck is going on. Plus, they make for good fillers when you don't have a ton of photos.

I've been in a real Chinese restaurant before, so I know what you're talking about. My family is loud in general, with my Pop being one of the loudest almost. None of us could eve ben classified as "quiet" that's for sure.

Oh see, our general rule of thumb is to draw as much attention to ourselves in public as possible. It's more fun that way.

Just saw the bat signal :jumping2: Yeah, I'm a little slow... And not the sharpest crayon in the box either... :lmao:

Sorry the flight was delayed, but at least it wasn't cancelled and you got to Disney for yet another amazing trip!!!

And as for the Spotted Cow beer... We drive 3 hours just so we can bootleg it back to Iowa... It's that good!!! :thumbsup2

:lmao: No worries at all!

Yes, the flight being delayed was just a minor speed bump. Definitely didn't get in the way for us at all.

Haha, wow that's dedication! But not unusual, because my family will drive 3 hours up to Wisconsin Dells just to eat at Paul Bunyun's. :rotfl2:

Good Lord, I LOVE your family (despite your choice of football teams ;)).

If we didn't have to park the car for two weeks in Milwaukee, I'd love to try that airport some time.

The guy at the airport story is hysterical.

I'm glad you made up some of that hour delay. Always good to make up some of that time. I remember you posting on FB that your flight was delayed an hour.

I'd be exhausted by then too and wanted to hit the sack.

I'm glad that you love us despite our differences. :lmao::thumbsup2

Maybe someday you'll be able to fly out of there. One of the nice things about parking there is that it's pretty inexpensive at $12.50 per day, and all of the parking is covered an in a garage. We've always felt comfortable leaving the car behind.

It was pretty funny having that conversation with the guy at the airport. We had to give him a hard time of course.

All in all, we ended up not being too far off schedule, so it was good in the end.

That sounds like such a long day and night. I know leaving late the night before gets you to Disney faster, but I imagine you were exhausted by 3am. I don't have that kind of stamina. Not to mention I follow the HIMYM philosophy that nothing good happens after 2am. :rotfl2:

Your conversation with the workers at the airport was awesome. Guy totally had it coming for being a 49ers fan. I'll even give you credit where credit is due for the Packers defeating my team last weekend. :sad1:

Foreshadowing is never good...

We were pretty tired, but we were okay. I closed my eyes on the plan, so that gives me the opportunity to relax. It's not sleeping, but it's better than nothing. And you are right about the HIMYM philosophy. Nothing good does generally happen after 2am.

He did have it coming being a 49ers fan. Like dude, you realize that you're in Packer country, right? Yeah, we did beat your team, but that was a really good game.

Ugh, work drama and a 2:30 am arrival, I would have been beyond cranky bit at least a Friday beer was had. Love, love, love your nails. Never seen anything like that before. Can't wait to hear what all the trip report possibilities mean. That looks like Jesus has me particularly intrigued. Did he display himself in some food and wine flan, did Popadon grow a mane suddenly, oh so many options. With your family clearly there are no limits.

It wasn't the best way to end my day, but the fact that we were able to end it in Disney was a plus.

Thanks! The nails were custom Jamberry nails. They are nail wraps that you basically just stick right on there and they last about a week.

Hahaha, so many Jesus options. It's not as glamorous as you would think.

No one's going to steal your car in Milwaukee. :) You could give it to me, I'll take care of it for 2 weeks. And by take care of it, I mean drive it because my car is a rust bucket. :rotfl2:

I think they have the "limo" or shuttle to get to the airport, though.

You are right about that. The car would certainly never go anywhere.

They do, but for Kathy that would be a pretty lengthy limo ride.

Hi Danielle - joining in! Looooooong travel night there.

Hi Roni! It was a long travel day, but it was worth it in the end, that's for sure.

Kay...so I'm finally catching up on my trip reporting..but it's nearly midnight & I've had a bottle of wine...

..what kind of world do i live in where midnight is late...

WHATEVER

yay for finally getting to disneyworld!

Hahaha, you live in my world now where midnight is late! It's late when you have to get up early to work the next day, that's for sure! Welcome to the club ya old fart. :rotfl2:

I'm here! Will be back to read :)

Yay!

Good intros as always!

I think you should feel sorry for me. I'm SURROUNDED by Niner fans. And Raiders fans, but really, Raiders don't count. They. are. AWFUL! Go Pack Go!

Wow you guys got in late. Thank goodness the delay wasn't worse than it could have been! That would have suuuucked.

Uh oh. What happens next?!

Thanks my dear!

OMG, I feel so terrible for you. For real, I truly do. Raiders fans really don't count. The Accountant that works for me is a Raiders fan. I apologize to him every day. :rotfl2:

It would definitely have sucked if the delay was worth, but thankfully it wasn't too bad.

joining ! I cant wait to read more about your trip !

I'm glad you're here! :goodvibes

Day 1 - Saturday November 8, 2014 Woo hoo! First official Disney day!

Yes we had gotten in the room and in bed at 3am, but dangit, I was getting myself up at 8am. And you know what? I did! 7:45am to be exact! Boom! Didn't even need to wake up to my alarm. I woke up before it even went off. Now, during a work week, this would infuriate me to no end. You know what I'm talking about. You wake up before your alarm goes off, maybe 30 minutes to an hour prior. Generally, I yell at my phone when that happens (which is also my alarm) because I'm missing my extra sleep!

Today however would be totally different, because we were in Disney!!!! Mom was up already too. She heard me get up and came out into the front part of the 1 bedroom that we were staying in. She asked me if I wanted to take a shower in their big bathroom while she was getting ready, so I said sure. I mean, the shower in the master bathroom of the 1 bedroom is much better than the other one in the front anyway! I'm not going to turn that down. So I quietly walk into the room, because I figure Pop is still sleeping. And all I see is sheets kind of piled up on the bed, so I think Pop maybe is in their bathroom. So I hesitate a minute and don't go in. Mom goes "go into the bathroom". I say "yeah, but Pop's in there." She looks at me like I've lost my ever loving mind and says "um, no he's not. He's in bed. YOU ARE LOOKING RIGHT AT HIM!"

I look at the bed, and I'm not kidding, the man was bundled up so tiny in there, I did not notice him at first! Which of course prompts us to have to take a picture of him as proof. Plus, these kind of pictures are handy for possible blackmail in the future, and I'm all about that kind of stuff. See! So easy to miss him. From the doorway, I didn't see his bald noggin!

We had to get even more up close and personal because, I mean again....blackmail.

Later on that day, he asked us which one of us took a picture of him when he was sleeping, because he swore he heard the sound of a camera shutter going off. It was Mom, but the two of us both feigned innocence like we had absolutely NO idea what he was talking about. I told him that it must have been his lack of sleep. His mind was playing tricks on him. :rolleyes1

I hopped in the shower and it was so nice and refreshing. I'm telling you, after the long travel day the day before, you just have this overall grody feeling. You guys know what I'm talking about. It just grody plane feeling. Ick. After I got out, I woke Julia up and Mom woke up Pop. This because the norm for us through the trip, even when we were in separate rooms. I was always up first to wake up Julia and Mom is always up first to wake up Pop. I headed out on the balcony and took some pictures of the beautiful savannah. I mean, that's one of the reasons that you stay at AKL, right?

While everyone else was getting ready, I took my time doing my first Disney inspired makeup for the day. Today, I wanted to do something a little more subtle, inspired by Belle's gold ball gown. I got some questions on Instagram on how I did it. The "eyeliner" actually isn't eyeliner at all. It's a gold pigment that I have from Sugarpill. I wet my angled eyeliner brush and did it myself. In case anyone was curious.

Julia was all ready to go, so we had a mini photoshoot on our balcony.

At that point, it was a little after 9am, so we headed out to go and check in at the Wilderness Lodge. We knew our rooms wouldn't be ready, but we wanted to get checked in for the day and then we could head over to Epcot for the day and start eating! The last weekend of Food and Wine was calling me. Our first FP window didn't open until 10:45am, so we had plenty of time at that point. We said goodbye to the Animal Kingdom Lodge (I know, we were literally only there for a few hours) and headed out.

As we were driving over to the Wilderness Lodge, we had a random conversation. I don't remember the details of it. What I do remember though was Pop said: "That's why we bring you along, because you're always right." And he was dead serious. So Julia says to me "you better write that down, that on November 8th, 2014, at 9:15am, he told you that you were always right". So I am documenting it on the interwebs, on the DISboards, so that we have permanent record that my Pop told me that I was always right.

Soon, we were pulling through these gates. Yayayayayayayay!

And by 9:30am, we were in the lobby of the beautiful Wilderness Lodge.

Julia and I were pretty happy to be there.

We hopped in line and were being helped at the front desk pretty shortly after that. Now Julia's and my room ended up being ready, which was pretty awesome. We still just left our luggage with Bell Services to make it easier. The CM had to go through a few steps with our Magic Bands. So apparently, your account can only have so many Magic Bands at one time, which I didn't realize. Well since the few trips we've taken, apparently I had too many MB's on my account, and needed to have one deactivated. That didn't make sense to me, because Mom and Pop have the same amount as I do, but I needed to have one deactivated. I told her to just deactivate the oldest one, and that's what she did. She was really nice, and even had our celebration for our friends that weren't arriving until Wednesday listed already. She gave us buttons to give them when they got there.

We were ready to go completely by about 10am, so we headed out to the bus stop after that. Our destination was Epcot, and we were still running on schedule. Woo hoo!

Forest theming by the bus stop.

And because we're a bunch of dorks, we took a foot picture. Let's just say it was complete boredom. Pop didn't want to feel left out. Anyone want to harbor a guess which foot was his?

We had great bus mojo, and our bus pulled up in no time. Don't mind my finger in the picture. Derp.

And while we were on the bus, Pop already started acting like. Well, like Popadon.

He said that these were his ghetto Mickey ears.

Our bus ride (which was only the four of us) got a little rough for a minute. Choppy out there. Leave it to Pop to exaggerate about the speed and roughness of the ride.

Continued in next post:

Continued from previous post:

The Epcot bus is a shared bus with Fort Wilderness, so we had to stop there briefly to pick up before continuing on to Epcot. The stop was brief and before we knew it, we were on our way again.

We pulled up at Epcot by about 10:30am. Perfect timing! Julia already had her ticket, as I had ordered it from Undercover Tourist and tied everything to the account before. The rest of us had new AP's that I had tied to the account, but we needed to actually pick them up and activate them before heading in to the park. No worries, we still had over an hour before our FP window for Soarin' closed.

So we walked towards the entrance, and I was met with a wall. A wall of what?

People.

That is really what it felt like. I had never seen that many people at the entrance of the park before in my life.

Every ticket booth? This was the line. Basically all the way back to the handrails.

See how far away we are from the booth? That's the length of the line we had to wait in. And the whole time, our FP window was starting to close.

There was a CM that directed us all the way to the other end of all the booths. They wanted people to go to Willcall that just had vouchers to exchange. According to them, because there was no money being exchanged, it would take less time to get through the line.

Everybody and their mother was here this weekend!

Wine and Dine 1/2 marathon? Check.
Veteran's day weekend? Check.
Last weekend of F&W? Check.

So my hope was in the will call line that they would get us through.

2 hours later, my hope was gone. I just wanted it to be over. Soarin' FP window? Gone. Character Spot FP window? Closing soon.

Stomach? Currently eating itself.

Finally, we were at the window and getting our stuff exchanged. Funny thing, she didn't give us our actual tickets, she simply activated the bands. My fuzzy, extremely hungry self did not take note of this at that exact moment. I think I was concentrating too hard on not gnawing on anyone.

The CM that helped us told us to go to a FP Cm to see if they could get us a Soarin' FP since we missed our window. We figured we would do that when we got in there.

Finally. Finally. Finally. We were heading in.

Oh, I won't have PP pictures yet, because I'm trying to get two trips out of my Memory Maker, so I won't be downloading pictures for a little while, so I can get in the window once I activate the download. 2 for the price of 1 y'all!

If that pot actually did have food in it, I would have totally jumped in there and eaten it.

We stopped at the FP+ station and a really nice CM tried his best to keep tricking the system to get us a Soarin' FP. He couldn't get it, but he told us to go to Guest Relations and they would be able to override something. Except we looked at Guest Relations and I started to have flashbacks to what just happened up front based on the line they had going on.

We were all starving. At this point, it just wasn't going to be.

The decision was made to just head over to the Festival Center and grab our food Passport for the F&W Festival.

And we made a bee line to the World Showcase. It was pushing 1pm at this time, and NONE of us had anything to eat yet. What a morning! It's okay though, none of us were crabby and we just went with the flow. We all said there was no need to be angry or upset, because what would that have gotten us? Nothing really.

Our first stop was the booth in China. Here are the selections that we got.

This is the Beijing Roasted Duck in a Steamed Bun with Hoisin Sauce. This ended up being one of my absolute favorites of all three days we went to F&W. The said was slightly sweet, which was so yummy, and the onion added another layer of crunch, which is always nice.

The drinks are a Tsingtao beer for me, Mango Green Tea with Poppin Bubbles for both Mom and Julia. I didn't get a picture apparently, but Pop got the Happy Lychee with Tequila and Vodka.

Mongolian Beef in a Steamed Bun with Chili Mayo.

Black Pepper Shrimp with Sichuan Noodles.

This whole booth was yummy, but the duck was the winner. If you go during F&W and they offer this again, by all means you need to go and get it. So good. Julia had never had duck before, but she absolutely loved it.

My Trip Report title was born during the Food and Wine Festival. We save our forks and carry them with us, because otherwise you're throwing them out all of the time and getting new ones, which is absolutely so wasteful. I was sooooo hungry at that point, that at the booth in Singapore, I was eating one of the dishes, and said:

MY FORK AND I ARE FRIENDS!

We can blame it on being delirious from hunger, but man. My fork did feel like my best friend that day. And we were friends. For the whole day eating at F&W, my fork was my buddy. My one true friend, who helped me to shovel food into my face.

I mean, who doesn't want a friend like that?

Said declaration of friendship was made at the Singapore booth, where we had:

Lemongrass Chicken Curry with Coconut and Jasmine Rice.

Seared Mahi Mahi with Jasmine Rice and "Singa" sauce.

The Mahi Mahi was so good. Tender, perfectly cooked, and the rice was absolutely lovely.

Up next: A garbage can is a perfectly acceptable table!

Hmmmmmm.....I think the electric blue shade on the toes would suit Popadon's personality. He surely wouldn't have a basic black loafer.

You look and write like you have an amazing time no matter what is/has happening/ed. Absolutely fantastic. Bummer about the lines to get in...I can imagine how much that sucked. Kudos to you all for not getting cranky.

You have inspired me to want to have fun with make-up again. Can I send you the bill for the new cosmetics?:lmao:

Any plans for making it to the west coast parks?

Good gracious, you are up and ready and over to the lodge and then .....

the wall of people. :scared1::scared1:

But hey - your food looks delish. This was the first year in a while where I did not partake in F&W so I am drooling at all the offerings.

Yes I have done the garbage can table many a time.

I love the pics of the WL. We went over there to see the holiday decorations and fell in love. It is perfect at Christmas!

Very cute pic of your whole gang in front of SE :)

Really, you can have too many Magic Bands? How many is too many? I have three so far - am I about to get cut off? :confused3

Oh, man, that line at Epcot! :sad2: I'm sorry, that is a lousy way to start an otherwise good day. Not to mention missing the FP+ window and starving.

Ah, Food & Wine! I miss it! We haven't been since 2011! :scared1: I'm excited that Flower & Garden has become more like Food & Wine, so I'll get a little taste of it.

And, yes, a garbage can is absolutely a perfectly acceptable table during Food & Wine. We have done that many times. I remember seeing a big thread on the DIS once about this - some people thought it was nasty, some thought totally fine, and some actually made special "garbage can table cloths" to bring along with them. :rotfl2:

Let me be sure I read that correctly... you were in the line to activate your annual passes for TWO hours?! Like, I'm having a hard time comprehending this. You would need food and bathroom breaks. Were Anna and Elsa exchanging the passes at the end? Wow.

I love the Wilderness Lodge lobby!

Two hours to get APs activated? Unbelievable.

I'm surprised to hear that there can be too many MBs on an account, that's a new one. How many did you have?

I love the blackmail pictures ... of course you had to take those, any sane person would.

I love the Popadon bus pictures ... ghetto Mickey ears. Hysterical.

Yay for spending your first day at Food & Wine ... but holy crap those lines! Just to get your AP activated ... that's insane!

Yay for finally getting some food - always important. And who doesn't want to be friends with their fork? Sounds like once you actually got there you enjoyed Food & Wine - and that food all looks great!

Hey there, hi there, ho-there!
I'm as happy as can be.
Come along, sing the song and join the jamboree!
M-I-C-K-E-Y....

Okay for real, though, I was one of your instagram commenters and so I've seen some previews already, but I did want to at least add my post here to the roll call so you know that I'm now joining in for the behind-the-scenes. Popadon's pink shirt makes me happy, Popadon sleeping as though he's a caterpillar about to emerge as a beautiful butterfly is happy, a new friend, more happy,

lines are less happy....

But food in the World Showcase is super happy, and I'm rather glad you befriended the much maligned fork, who has been somewhat left out of the more fashionable social circles with the advent of the spork, but whom is clearly still worthy of love and adoration.

2 hours for tix exchange? You are better than me bc I would have had an epic meltdown!

Everything you ate looked yummy, I really want to make It for f&w one year.
