i shouldn't have looked at the virgin website today - but a flight that i booked at the end of dec for this month is now £50 cheaper.

AHHHHH!

:sad2: never mind. try telling yourself that if you had waited it could have been £50 more.
It's the chance we all take
Cheer up and think of the wonderful time you are gong to have at Disney.
(hope that puts a smile on you face):goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

good advice:thumbsup2 and next time...don't check :rotfl:

don't check and if you do just think of it as you got booked when you wanted to go regardless of the price change. just think you might have waiting and the flight was full

I booked some flights with Virgin £375+2000 FF points a few month later they had a sale, full fare £357 so could have saved 6000 points and some money but you win some, you lose some. Glad I didn't book at full price when I used my points then I would have paid £600 each:scared1: some people probably did. At least its only £50 and you got what you wanted.
I try not to look but I get tempted. Just hope I dont see Easter under £291 or Aug under £533.

:sad2: Make it a rule never to check again after you've booked, because for every time you can congratulate yourself for getting a bargain :cheer2: there will be another time when you will want to cry

It's the same as selling shares. You take the price you're happy with now and leave some for the next man. And it's better than leaving it until the last minute and then not getting the flight you want. Funnily enough, I can spend days, weeks, months sniffing out a bargain, but once I've paid my money I never think about it again. In any case, you're going to Disney! :tigger: :tigger: :tigger:

Booked with AA last year and the price dropped i rang them and they refunded the difference :thumbsup2

I agree with the opinions on here, dont check,;) I did the same thing as you 3 years ago and found my complete holiday package had dropped by over £400 each person, and to rub salt into the wound, I could have the stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for £200 less than I had paid to stay at the All Stars, so I know how you feel, now I just book and dont bother checking to see if it has changed, I look at it now as though it could be the other way and gone up in price or worse not available at all.:)

Have a wonderful time:goodvibes

Why shouldn't they if they have a price promise, they're quick to say awell if you don't book far enough ahead you don't get the best prices :scratchin

Once I am booked I never check either. We can't hang around for last minute bargains as there are 5 of us so we don't fit the 4 in a room scenario.

I just work on the principal that I must have been happy for the price to have booked in the first place and if I had hung on I wouldn't have got either the flight I wanted or the hotel. :goodvibes

At least it was only £50, it could have been more. :grouphug:

I booked in aug with airtours direct for may 07 and when I looked last month it had gone down £79. Still, I would'nt have had all the fun planning time.

Last time we went with Virgin, I booked about 16 months in advance thinking we would get the cheapest prices. 2 or 3 months after I booked, I checked the prices and saw that they were offering free childs places that I would have qualified for. I emailed them explaining my dissapointment and as a goodwill gesture they gave me the free childs place and refunded £400. Can't say fairer than that! It's always worth a go complaining as long as you are polite with them.

Nick
