I'm so upset, my peony didn't survive the 12/26 snowstorm and last week's ice storm :( I did everything they recommended at the nursery.
I'll have to start over again in the spring.
 
Peonies die back to the ground every year....unless they're tree peonies. I don't think you can tell if they're dead at this time of the year.....
 
Oh no! Hopefully the roots are still alive and it will pop up again in the spring. Peonies are so pretty!
 
It was a tree peony :(
My neighbor is an avid gardener and she said it was definitely dead. Fortunately I have a 1 year guarantee on it and I just planted it in September.

It's a little like losing a friend. I hope you replant in the spring with better results!
 
I hope you're going to return it, Crankyshank, especially since you followed their instructions, and still have the 1 year guarantee. I always lose mine... :blush:
