My first Universal pin code

We have not been since 2006 and have no trip planned, so I was surprised and pleased to see Harry in my mailbox. :thumbsup2. Am definitely going to look into a trip for early fall. :goodvibes

We just got a 40% off "Unique Offer Code" for 4 nights at one of their onsite hotels just today in the mail.........

Here is our story...

I booked a 5 day/4 night Hard Rock Hotel stay on July 7th online at the Univeral Studios Orlando website for travel date 11/14 -11/18/2011 & I put $100 deposit down & also purchased a 4 day park to park access for both IOA & Universal Studios for me & my son (he is 15), the total cost for the trip for two of us for 4 nights at Hard Rock Hotel-Garden View Room with the 4 day park to park all access pass was $1359 (that includes the tax)- my current balance is $1259.

If you take the $1359 & divide by 4 days, that is about $340 a day, which is not to bad for 2 people, the Hard Rock Hotel Garden View room, park to park access for 4 full days, Early Admission to the Islands of Adventure, & the Express Pass for staying onsite.

The mailing offer is for travel dates 08/21 -10/06 and 11/27-12/22, so it does not fall within our travel dates. The flyer received in the mail states that rates start from $132 (that is for a standard room at the Royal Pacific Resort-- my son & I prefer the Hard Rock over the Royal Pacific) & it does not include the park tickets, you still have to purchase those as well.

So, if you have not gotten a code yet in the mail, you could try booking a reservation for that time frame, place down a $100 deposit, & see if it generates an offer to you in the mail. You could then call & get the code applied to your package if they still have any rooms available under that code, just a guess. :)

:santa::santa::santa:

We just stayed over Memorial Weekend and we got the pin code too. Planning on going back at the end of September, but can only get away for three nights. I'm not really sure this code is much cheaper than the AP discount.

I got the same code. I stayed at Royal Pacific for six nights back last August/Sept. Then I was at WDW in Oct, Dec, and May and spent a day or two over at Universal each trip. But other than that, I've had no contact with them and did nothing that would have generated a PIN.

I'll be at WDW Sept 10th-18th and then at WDW again Nov 26th-Dec 4th, so my dates fall within the PIN's dates (except Dec 26th). However, I'd only want to spend maybe two nights over there and since the PIN requires a four night stay, I don't think I'll be using it either. Still glad I'm on their list though. Wish I was on Disney's.:rolleyes1 I go to WDW several times a year and have never received a PIN from them.:rotfl:

I received this offer today. We haven't been to Universal since August 2008 and I didn't do anything to generate this pin. I'm not sure if I will be able to use it, but I am glad I'm on their list.

This is such a funny coincidence, today is the first time I have visited the universal forum since my trip last nov, and I saw this thread and read it thinking I never get universal pins,and then I checked my mail and here it is! :rotfl: Now I'm daydreaming that I could use this in aug before going back to work from maternity leave :cool1:
