Hi! I don't post much here on the boards, but I LOVE reading everyone's Trip Reports. My WDW withdrawal has inspired me to post my own. So bear with me while I learn the ropes!
By way of introduction...
I'm Whitney, 31 y/o from Tennessee. By day, I'm a lawyer. Before anyone goes and makes any lawyer jokes
, I'm not *that* kind of lawyer. I work mostly with abused and neglected kids. Thus, WDW has become my happy/escape place.
On this trip, I was joined by DH, my bonus babies Kyra (5) and Jordan (4) and DH/my daughter, Riley (1). It was the bonus babies' first trip (their mom didn't think they were old enough last trip) and all three girls had a blast.

Without further ado....
Day 1 - Travel to Savannah

Just a little excited...

We left around 7:30 pm after DH got off work, hoping to make it half way, and we did! I found a great deal at a hotel near the Savannah airport, complete with complimentary breakfast.
Day 2 - Savannah to Orlando
The continental breakfast was a hit, complete with waffles and biscuits/gravy (DD1's favorite). After a picnic in the room, we hit the road again!

The girls did great on their first major road trip. We watched (Disney) movies, sang songs, played I Spy, and they enjoyed their activity books I made before we left. To save money and have some time out of the car, I packed sandwich/lunch in our cooler and we stopped for lunch at a rest stop in about 2 hours from Orlando. After lunch, we let the girls blow off some steam with tag and Simon Says.

Before we knew it, we were in Orlando! And then, this! Not even this massive storm cloud could dampen our excitement.

We headed straight to AKL to check in.

Check in took a little longer than normal, and there was a lot of confusion over whether my DD1 should receive a card or not. Last trip, we each received a printed card with our names on it. This time, only the >3 guests got one. I was afraid we would get to the park and be one admission short, but was assured DD1 did not need a KTW card. Our room (Pool view, bunk beds) was ready, and I snuck up before DH and the girls to sprinkle a little pixie dust before the girls saw the room. This was such a big deal to the older two I wanted to make it as magical as possible.

After settling in and letting the girls get their bearings, we headed to MK!

A truly magical moment -- seeing The Castle for the first time.

We rode Small World first, as it is a bit of tradition. It's my mother's favorite ride, and even though she didn't attend with us, we rode it first for her. Next stop was the Rapunzel area. I hadn't seen it before, and somewhere in the excitement for new fantasyland, didn't know about it. I LOVE Tangled, so this was a great surprise!

We were able to ride quite a few rides, including Dumbo, Aladdin, and Winnie the Pooh, all without Fast passes and very little lines. I was surprised at this, but being our first summer trip, I didn't really know what to expect. We had dinner at Columbia Harbor House (delicious!), and finished the night with fireworks.
The girls were so excited, and we threw our schedule out the window for the week. We took naps during the hottest part of the day, which meant we stayed much later in the parks than we planned. No major fits or tantrums, so it worked for us.

Day 3, coming soon!
