My FIRST TRIP REPORT - the plans

First of all let me introduce myself, my name is April, I am a 36 year old mom of a soon to be 13 year old boy. I am also married to a wonderful man, we will celebrate our 3rd anniversary on 3/28.

I became a Travel Agent in 2010, and I am a Certified Disney FREAK!!!! I love it ALL!

Yes that's me folks, yes I know the pic is three years old, but I am an adult, I don't change much....

Here are my boys!

My son, Ashton will be 13 on 3/13 but surprisingly his appearance hasn't changed much, albeit a lot taller and his interest in the opposite sex has blossomed....

We are going to the World on May 30th through June 6th......I am super excited to spend my 37th birthday at the place I love most..... 6/4 is my big day!

On my birthday we are Dining with an Imagineer! I am super ecstatic about this as In my Dream Life I am a CM and my hubby Aaron is to and my son is an Imagineer, but reality check hits and we are all NOT these things, but such is life...


We are staying at Pop Century, which is my favorite of the Values, although I cannot wait to stay at AoA when it is fully open, which I think is early 2013.

We have our ADRs as follows

5/30 - Spirit of Aloha (this has become a tradition for us to start every trip with a Luau)
5/31 - Chefs de France (Hope to get a visit from Remy)
6/1 - Liberty Tree Tavern (Hubby's Fave)
6/2 - Tusker House for lunch ( Hubby and son both agree there is nothing better than a buffet)
6/3 - 'Ohana for Breakfast ( I am Lilo and Stitch obsessed)
6/4 - Dine with an Imagineer ( Sooooo Excited)
6/5 - Biergarten - ( Again with the buffet, but Ashton is really upset if we don't go here at least once! I have never seen a kid eat that much German food before.... )
6/6 - we have to leave ...............EPIC FAIL!!!!


Ah Well we will be back before to long!

I am here April! Ok, what is your favorite section to stay in at Pop and tell me about the Luau - we have never done it...........considering it for summer though.

hey girl! I love the 80s area and the computer pool!!!! Its awesome.....

The luau is great, you go to the Poly and they take your picture, that you of course can buy if you want..but the area the do the luau show is right by the beach area at the Poly, its a great show performers put on a show of traditional Polynesian dances and music....there is a fire dancer ( my sons fave ) and so much endless food and drink.....Alcohol (beer and wine) is included in part of the package to so you have an endless supply of that to...they of course cut you off an hour before the show ends but that is ok....

Our favorite thing however is the lava cake dessert.....OMG Yum!

THE BEST part of the evening is watching Wishes from the beach! LOVE IT!!!!

We stayed in the 80s last trip to Pop - my only "complaint" was it was a long walk to the food court. I did love hanging at that pool while doing laundry though! I love the Rubix cube staircases too - my fave over there!!!

We most likely will be staying at Pop for summer - I think I am going to request the 60s then the 70s. We have never stayed in the 60s and I like the location of the 70s.

The luau sounds great - my daughter graduates high school this year. Instead of a grad party, we told her she could pick a few special things to do at Disney - we are doing a Wishes Dessert Party and she is between the Luau and eating at Cali Grill - trying to convince DH to just do both - lol!!!

Sounds like a great trip. I'm jealous you are going in May. I wish i was leaving tomorrow. We are going in June.

Oh Brook it is.....the pig roast and lava cake!!!! to. die. for.

lets not forget the awesomely hot fire dancers (pun intended)

Our summer trip is June 28 - July 10 - not sure where we are staying, hoping for AP rates. Most likely, it will be at Pop.

Too bad we will miss each other. I think Mindy might be down there when I am. She and I tend to travel at the same time frequently - lol.

When you went in July 09, when were you there? We were there mid to end of July, I met Nikki that trip - and Christy (PopArtGal).

Bummer - we were there from 7/15 to 7/29 - how did we miss meeting? I think I met Mindy the next April during spring break........................we did a split stay that year, Caribbean Beach and the Poly, that was the year of the 4/3 plus I found an amazing rate at the Poly.....................

We are looking for something unique to do. I have one of those kids that is sometimes to smart for his own good, and he gets bored with the same old things all the time....He LOVES Disney though so I wonder what I can do besides sit in DTD while he trades pins or Vinyls all day......
