My first Trip Report-PTR

Here we go with our last 3 hours of Sunday at DL. As we entered Main Street after the fireworks we saw Minnie come out. I hurried and jumped in line while Bob got Ayden out. Ayden had a special experience with her. She accidentally knocked his hat off, so she put it back on him and gave him a big kiss. We've never had minnie do more then a quick pose so this was great!

We then made our way over to Astroblasters again...we rode this with a 5 min wait seven times!! By the time this trip is over we will have ridden this ride about 40 times! Thats a conservative estimate! :rotfl2:I skipped out on the next 3 rounds to go ride Space Mountain with my earlier FP. The wait was all of 5 min. Its a little less dark then I remember, but still fun. We then went over to POTC and walked right on. Since the lines were so short I suggested going to fantacyland. We got in line for the 7min wait for Alice in Wonderland. Ayden had never been on any Fantacyland ride other then Peter Pan and that scared him in October, but so did astroblasters, so I had high hopes.

He loved it so we rode it again. Then we went on Pinnochio and he loved that. At this point the park closes in about an hour. I notice Peter Pan only has a 15 min wait! Of course we jumped in line! This time Ayden loved it so we did it twice!

At this point we had just enough time to walk over to Finding Nemo and wait less then 5 min to get on. Ayden and alex both loved this ride. By the time we got off the ride, DL was closed. Yes it was after midnight and we hadn't even taken our bags into our hotel room and I didn't take a nap! On our way out of DL both boys fell asleep. We were so glad to see our hotel as we reached the crosswalk. We went in the office and loaded our bags on a cart, which the guy working told us to leave outside our room and he would get it. We get to our room, which was thankfully on the first floor and open the door. We are greeted with a strong musty oder. So we leave the door open to air it out. I then go into the bathroom, only to find long hairs on the bottom of the tub. I'm really grossed out by now. I always travel with sanitizer wipes, so I proceed to clean our ENTIRE room with those. Bob called the lobby and he said there was nothing he could do, but it would be fixed tomorrow. We got the boys' beds set up, get them settled, when the upstairs guests begin getting in and it sounds like a herd of elephants! I'm so tired at this point its after 1am, I'm just praying they don't wake Alex. We turned on the TV to try and drown them out and finally we get some rest. Needless to say we didn't make it to park open on Monday. I will continue with Monday a little later! I promise Monday starts the rest of our trip being sprinkled with extra pixie dust!

oohhh can't wait to read more! sounds like a good trip so far - for the most part. i'm sorry to hear about the bad start to your first night at park vue - we love that place!

Sorry it's been a bit, but we went away for Easter. Now I can fill you in on our second day at DL! This day was MUCH MUCH better in a lot of ways. We didn't wake up in time for park open, but that was ok. We got to DL about 10am, just an hour after open. The lines were still pretty short. We, or course, had to ride Astroblasters first. We then headed to Critter Country to get fast passes for Splash Mountain. On the way we saw Jasmine's meet and greet. Ayden being in "love" with all the princesses HAD to stop.

Then we rode the Winnie the Pooh ride. Both boys loved this ride. Then on our way off we saw the meet and greet for Pooh and Tigger. This was GREAT! Tigger was playing with my son, even as we stood in line. He wears a leash to help us keep track of him in a busy place, and Tigger put the handle on the fencepost and wouldn't let Ayden off. Ayden thought this was VERY funny.

We then walked towards the Jungle Cruise, and Ayden decided he wanted to ride in the Haunted Mansion! Who am I to say no to my boy. I told him all about what was going to happen, and let him know the scariest part was the lights going off in the elevator. Bob stayed with Alex while we went on this ride. I held Ayden in the elevator, and he was a bit scared :scared1: with everyone screaming. After we got on the ride, he loved it. I made light of everything and he loved looking up at the stars. I think it wasn't so scary to him because he has no idea what a ghost is either :rolleyes1. I wish I had remembered my camera, but alas, I left it with Bob. These are some pictures he snapped of Alex while we were in the ride.

Little did I know that he was filling his drawers at the time too :rotfl:
We then continued to the Jungle Cruise. Ayden loved the elephants, but again hated the gun shots at the hippos. I again forgot to take pictures :confused3 I think I was too busy feeding Alex, and Bob is not the picture taking type. When we got off of the Jungle Cruise we saw Aladdin had joined Jasmine, so we had to jump in line. We were the last group allowed in to see them, they had moved into the "Oasis". This, by the way, was the first time I had seen anyone at the Oasis EVER.

At this time, we relized Alex had messed through his outfit, so Bob took him back to the hotel and left Ayden and I to have some one on one time. We hadn't had one on one time since Alex was born, so this was a real treat. We went somewhere he'd never been, the castle. I showed him the wishing well and Snow White. We stood and watched it all come to life.

We got our photo taken by the photopass people in front of the castle. Then we made our way to Astroblasters...again. We found the photopass person doing the Darth Vader pictures and Ayden got his picture taken with the sword. I will add photopass photos later when the CD is done and gets here. I did the best I would do on this whole trip in Astroblasters...I got 300,000!! I finally beat my husband's score and he wasn't there to see it. I did e-mail it though!

On our way out of Astroblasters, we decided we would go to DCA as DL was getting busy. As we hit main street I saw Peter Pan and the Mad Hatter getting ready for a round of musical chairs. Ayden has never played musical chairs, but tends to catch on to things quickly, so I rushed him over there. He was one of the kids picked!! :yay:He did well for his first time, he made it 3 rounds! Boy were the jokes cheezy, though. The one I remember the best was, "do your socks have holes in them?" and when you say "no" he says, "how do you put them on, then?" :laughing:Here's all the pictures from that, hope it's not too many for you!

Yes, Peter Pan was playing with Ayden's leash too. Seems all the silly charactors like that leash. Ayden had fun and we sat and watched the rest of the game. We then heard the announcement for the parade, so we made our way to IASW to watch it.

Bob and Alex returned from the hotel at this point and I had to feed Alex. For those of you wondering what it's all about, its a lot of dancing to rock music. Ayden loved it. He actually tried to join the street party a little too early and had to be brought back to me by one of the dancers! :scared1: I again took a ton of photos so here you go!

After the parade, we headed over to DCA. On our way over both boys fell asleep in the stroller. This gave Bob and I the opportunity to ride some bigger rides. We tried to single rider "Sorin" but the single rider line was LONG!! So we snagged some FP, which were good in 3 hours, and headed to GRR. Bob didn't want to ride at all, so I single ridered it and ended up with a bunch of teens. Now if no one has ever told you, try NOT to be the heaviest one on the raft and try NOT to sit next to the door. YOU WILL GET SOAKED. I was a good 50lbs heavier then any one of those teens AND I sat by the door, I don't think there was an inch of me that was dry when I got off!:rotfl2: Bob thought this was VERY funny and even though I tried and tried to get him on it he refused. Oh well.

We then headed over to TSMM since Ayden would be waking up soon, and we thought maybe we could sneak in a ride on California Screamin, no such luck. Ayden woke up and we asked him which one of us he wanted to ride with first, as Alex was still asleep and we could get parent swap tickets. He wanted to go with me so agian I brave the LONG LONG 45min line with my 3 year old :scared1: It really isn't as bad as it seems, but it seems Bob isn't doing much of the standing around :rotfl:

Once we got off Bob and Ayden left to use the Child Swap Pass while I sat and fed and played with Alex. It was quite fun. We then rode on TSMM again, I again was the one to stand in line:confused3 and they child swaped it again. Then the third time I MADE Bob stand in line with Ayden. By this time it was getting late, so Ayden and I child swapped TSMM while Bob and Alex went to Park Vue and got our coats. Ayden and I then made our way to Bugs Land and rode the Chew Chew train twice. This is one of his favorites. I snapped this photo on our way there. Looks like they are taking down the gold pieces to the old Mickey head.
