Day 1
The alarm went off at 3 am but we were all straight up and getting ready to go to the airport. We had a quick breakfast and were ready to leave by 4 am. The airport is only 20 minutes drive away so we got there by 4.20, unfortunately the airport staff didnt arrive until 5 am!! We were just about the only people in the place.
The flight left on time and it seemed as if it was a matter of minutes before we were touching down in Charles De Gaulle, the taxi from runway to airport was almost as long as the flight!! Passport control was very easy and as we came round the corner to baggage control my mum and dads case was right in front of us and I could see my case at the other end. We collected our cases and went to find the coach, again it was very easy and before we knew it we were on our way to DISNEY!!!
It wasnt long before I spotted the hot air balloon so knew we were almost there. Our hotel was the 5th to be dropped off and the reception wasnt very busy so we got checked in very quickly. The lady on reception asked if we would like a complimentary character breakfast at Cafe Mickey the following morning, as if wed say no to that!!
As soon as we had got rid of our luggage Holly headed straight for the shop to get her autograph book and open and we ran into Goofy so had a quick photo call.
We then walked through the Disney Village to the Park and as always the castle took our breath away, it is so beautiful and so magical, its just like coming home! We had a wander down Main Street and saw Minnie at the end, Holly decided she was too hungry to wait in line so we stopped off in Caseys corner for hot dogs and saw the Disney Express go past. We had a great view.
After lunch we went to see the dragon as we had managed to miss that on all previous trips (thanks to the tip from a DISer!) Last trip my mum had missed Its a Small World so that was out first point of call, we walked straight on without any queuing at all. It was as lovely as ever and yes we are still singing the song!!
Next stop was Le Pays Des Contes de Fees and the Casey Junior, both very sweet rides and not very long queues.
We tried Peter Pan next but that had really long queues. We headed round to Frontier land and had a ride on the Molly Brown. We then headed back to the hotel as we thought our room should be ready and the early start was catching up on us.
We bumped into Pluto outside the hotel so had another photo shoot. The room was ready and were thrilled to find we had been given a lake view room, we could see Cafe Mickey and ToT. A really lovely room. We had a drink and re-charged our batteries and headed back. Loads of photos later we went to The Plaza Gardens for tea. The buffet was as good as always and Holly loved going up and helping herself.
We came out just in time for Candleabration, it was beautiful. We went back to the hotel totally worn out and were all asleep by 9 pm.
